Red Wings bring back student rush program

Great! Thanks for the heads up, I'll definitely be taking advantage of this over whatever breaks I get. -

That was quick. 1-0 Flyers.

I wish Gaborik wasn't injured all the time because he is so much fun to watch.

Do you need a password for that stream? It prompts me for one when I click play.

I really hope that Larsson gets some consideration if Jimmy continues to struggle. I always get the impression that Jimmy looks more nervous than he should be for being a professional athlete and has pretty poor rebound control for an NHL-caliber goalie. I still want to see him get some chances, but if he continues to dissapoint Larsson should get a fair shot at the backup job.

Defensively speaking, Rafalski shouldn't be in the top 15.

Sportsnet: Hudler awarded 2 year deal 5m total; Still KHL bound
DatsyukownzU13 posted a topic in General
http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/2009/07/31/hudler_wings/ Does he take this deal or is he still walking to Russia is anyone's guess, but sportsnet is sure making it sound like he's staying at a cap hit of around 2.5 or 2.6. -
He's been injured on and off and he did hit 20 goals in 58 games his rookie season. The potential is there and depending on the $ involved, I like it.

Zherdev would be amazing to watch with Datsyuk. Also for those saying he's small and soft, he's actually 6' 2" and he has gone a little ways in the toughness category over the last year with the Rangers. He was throwing his body around a good amount and wasn't hogging the puck as much as usual. For those who haven't seen much of him, check out this video:

Boston couldn't take on Fil's salary, they are looking for primarily high-end prospects with a low cost roster player and probably a 1st rounder thrown in. I would love to have Kessel, I just think it's pretty doubtful.

Toronto re-signed Justin Pogge to a 605k, 1 year deal. Burke then proceeded to make it clear that he was going to attempt to trade Pogge. I could see a lot of teams being interested in this. He had some promise, but things just didn't work out in TO for him. At 605k - 1 year it's a pretty affordable experiment to take him on board as a back up/AHL-starter. http://www.owensoundsuntimes.com/ArticleDi....aspx?e=1668772

Burke re-signs Pogge; Plans to Trade Him
DatsyukownzU13 replied to DatsyukownzU13's topic in General
I was originally thinking the same thing, but then I decided that McCollum and Larsson could probably fill that same role easily. Pogge has been pretty brutal the last season or two, despite his upside. I'm interested to see how McCollum does in the AHL. I know he tore up the OHL, but I'm a skeptic until proven otherwise after watching him in the WJC. -
These were the exact two things I was going to come on here to write about that goal. Classic.

They really don't play alike whatsoever...
-
Not going to completely argue the lazy sentiments, but if you had actually watched him the past year he was throwing hits and forechecking hard, which was uncharateristic of his time in Columbus. I wouldn't be surprised to see him kick that label if he came here. Then again, I highly doubt this happens.

95-100 3, 30+ goal scorers 4th place in the west.

In fact I do. Aproximately 5 years longer than you have, but that's water under the bridge. I just decided to start a conclusive thread about the issue rather than fueling a speculative thread that the information could have been lost in. Some people don't want to sift through 5 pages of speculation and opinions to find out what's actually happened.

Haha, my bad... I had seen a confirmed link in Russian but posted this one instead.

http://www.hokej.cz/index.php?lng=CZ&v...ek&id=44095 Obviously it's in Czech, but it's the first confirmed link stating that Hudler has in fact signed a 2 year deal in the KHL. Whether its leverage for an NHL contract or he's actually intending on playing in Russia is up for debate. Interesting either way.

2 years/2.4 mil is what I heard. A little bit of an overpayment.

McDonagh will be better than Gomez alone and then you can throw in a player that is a 20 goal scorer with a much better contract than Gomez (who's vastly overpaid and overrated). In addition to that, New York now has cap space to sign Hossa, Gaborik or trade for Heatly. Gainey got fleeced.
