Crosby just picked up the Prince of Wales Trophy and skated around the ice with it.. wow.

The results are in chronological order.. makes sense because a lot of today's fans weren't fans 2, 5, 10 years ago. Doesn't surprise me really.

I wouldn't mind seeing Downey or DMac coming up just in case.

Honestly.. no, I wouldn't. Not because I don't think he's good or because he's a diver or a whiner or anything, but because I just don't like him as a hockey player. He's got skills, no doubt about that, but I just don't like him, no matter what colors he's wearing. Be it because of the media bias towards him, or from what I've seen of him on and off the ice, I just don't like him. It'd be like if Sean Avery wanted to sign with the wings for $1. Most people would say you'd be crazy not to take that, because like him or not, he's a decent hockey player and he's got the grit we need and it'd only be $1. Not me. I won't root for Crosby no matter who he plays for. Same goes for Avery or Thornton or Lemuix, amongst a host of other players. If Terrelle Pryor got drafted by the Lions in a few years, I'd still hate him. If the Pistons got Anderson Varejao or Joakim Noah, I'd still hate them. To me it's not the colors a player wears, it's what he represents. Would Crosby make us a better team? Probably. But I'd still hate him, and wouldn't want him on our team. Until Z and Dats and Hossa are gone, I'm fine with our team the way it is. We're one of the classiest teams in the league, not too many players to hate if you look at the roster (Maltby, but what does he really do anymore? Homer maybe?) I love the Wings the way they are.

I dont want to sound preachy right now, but we're sounding just like the pens fans that we've been criticizing all series complaining about the officiating like this. Are they blowing some calls? Of course. They always do. Is that the reason we're down right now? Not really, no. The best teams play through even the worst officiating. That's what we have to show the world that we can do right now. Go Wings.

Eh.. If you were to drive down to JLA in hopes of finding a decently-priced ticket and not find one, then what? Just try StubHub or something, get a guaranteed ticket. That's your best bet. EDIT: I just checked StubHub and found a few dozen tickets for $121 or less.

Well.. That sucks. The thing is, they didn't even deserve it tonight. Nashville played with more heart in games 1 and 2, but not tonight.

I don't mind if we lose this game as much as I mind losing this game in regulation after being up by a goal with four minutes left. That's the worst part.

I agree that there is a difference. Absolutely. Do I think the difference excuses what was shown at the Joe tonight? Not at all.

I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade, but let me just say something. I think that comparison between Detroit and Nashville is a bit out of line. I know it's all in good fun and stuff, but I really find it almost classless, and I'm a bit embarrassed that we stooped to that level. Two seasons ago, I think it was, the Detroit Pistons were playing the Sacramento Kings in Sacramento. As the Pistons were being introduced, pictures of run-down buildings in Downtown Detroit were shown on the Jumbotron, and I was appalled. I thought it was the most classless thing that one could do. So to see that the Wings did basically the same thing doesn't sit to well with me. Again, just my $0.02. I know it was in fun, but I don't like it too much.
