Haha, not exactly new. Been here since the '06 playoffs. Not a frequent poster, but not new. I suppose my attempt to inject some logic into the conversation about Dom was a bit futile, though

You can't say the first goal was his fault. You can't. Any goalie in the NHL plays that puck, the trailing Pred was behind the blue line when it was dumped. It took a terrible bounce and ended up in front of the goal. Not even close to his fault. If he doesn't play that puck, the Nashville player gets there before any Red Wing does. The second was a tough break, but let's not take away from how many incredible saves he made in the first period because of a few goals caused by a freak bounce and a turnover in our own zone.

Lots of criticizing of the Red Wings from NBC. Hasek's been average? What game have you been watching? He let in one goal, and Nashville had about nineteen chances in the first period that he stoned them all on. He's been awesome so far.

What course of action do you think the Wings should take in the third? A. Match the physical play of the Preds, hit for hit, and show them they can't mess with us. B. Play the puck instead of the body, let them go for the hit while we go for the goal. Show them they can't rattle us and get us off our game. What do you think?

Officiating is suspect for both sides in this game. I almost, almost want to win this game moreso because I hate Nashville than because I just want to win. Almost.

Odds of a Nashville penalty were high on that play, but only if they put a Wing in the box as well.
