I believe one other factor that should be mentioned that even Burnside missed and that is the faceoff factor. Detroit is a beast in winning faceoffs and Pittsburgh is not that good. It will be difficult for them to work if they are chasing the puck. -

I agree with everything you said except Wings in 4. The Pittburgh Penguins look much like the 95 Wings (same record even). We know what happened when the Wings faced a defensive minded New Jersey Devils. -

Correct. The Red Wings organization is built around a Cup or failure philosophy. Therefore, whenever the Red Wings finish the year without winning the cup then the season is a failure. -

Actually they have lost two in a row these playoffs and then came out and won nine straight. I am hoping that it happens again (Well five straight ).

Guys 2mins4hooking is a troll. Don't feed him and he will go away. As far as the game, Detroit needs to start watching line changes while Turco has the puck. Take heart in the fact that without his two passes to lead the rush, Dallas did not score. I think if Detroit corrects that and gets back to making long crisp passes of their own then this series will be over next game.

Franzen is a big part of this team and I will be happy to see him back but to think we will lose this series because we are down 2-1 in game five is a bit dramatic.

Two playoff series in NHL in history have result in a 4-3 win for the team down 3-0. Just because Detroit is down in game five in a series that they are 3-1 does not mean that Dallas is going to win the SERIES.

I hate the loss but it may help in giving more time for Franzen to return. I would rather a series be 3-1 in the WCF then 1-0 Pens in the SCF due to no Franzen.

The Versus link did not work for the entirety of game two. I was not the only one having problems. I ended up having to watch the game on justin.tv. The feed was ok but I have been spoiled with the Versus feed.

I hope he will be alright too. The first concern is his health but I can't even imagine the loss of impact the team would suffer without him. A day-to-day injury isn't nearly as bad as an out for the playoffs injury. I am speaking of course concerning team psyche.

I am not sure we can count on the Versus net link for streaming video? Did it work for today's game between Pittsburgh and Philly? Also, if it does not work does anyone know of a link with similar quality?

One refreshing change... How many of you are glad that its our goalie that is frustrating the opposition and not the other way around? Instead of figuring out how to get pucks past Giguerre or Kiprusoff, its how do we get pucks past Osgood.
