Play em, were still battling between Pitt and Boston. Pitt is the better match up and less physical. Datsyuk still needs to get in to his groove and you want to go in to the playoffs firing on all cylinders not laying down and resting your stars. They are pros, 3 days rest before playoffs is fine, it's not like 4-5 days is night and day. If we lose against Carolina it may be a different story but we fight to play Pitt the easier seed and a chance to play against NYR and Philly who have both struggled a lot this season

Give it two more games and we will be talking about how were battling Philly instead of CBj

Didn't see all the goals but, plekanec with a one time from the side on a 3 on 2, vanek a tip about 2 feet off the crease, and max PAC shot deflected and screened. You guys nailed it, all Howard's fault hahaha keep looking for a scape goat.

Very important night obviously but east vs west games could help up in the sense that a east team that loses to a west teams means no gain in traction by another east team... Which could be huge, rangers lose tonight we win, were in a lot better pos.

The biggest thing that bugs me is people thinking we need a rebuild, or this team isn't good enough. When in reality if we were healthy we are good enough to play with the best. Problem is when not healthy we are not going to be good enough just the way it is. The other thing thats really starting to stand out to me is not our goaltending. 3 different goalies are losing games not just one coughing away wins. The problem is D. When Datsyuk, Z, and Helm are in the line up we have defensive forwards to help them out, but when they aren't its a glaring weakness. I will never give up on this team, never have never will. The thing is healthy we are a good team and I would say top of the conference fighting for first with Boston. Problem is they have stayed healthy all year and well we cant keep less then 5/6 guys off IR.

So it's a rookie mistake because he didn't fake an injury??? The real problem is he has to fake the injury to get the right call. Rookie mistake not an NHL joke of officiating.

So they give a minor for boarding the hell out of smith. Smith shoves him back he dives and try still give smith a minor! What a joke! So your saying the jacket player dove and the contact wasn't that bad but still give smith a penalty. The refs screwed the entire play up... Let alone the goal against and clear goalie interference.

I think everyone knows Howard are playing well below where he should. What annoys me are the people that are saying trade him now, and play Gus/mrazek tandem. Like that actually is a possibility or a good idea for a tandem. Gus couldn't hold a starting role for a reason.

I'm not trying to just pick on you GMR... I'm mad they both played but datsyuks injury could have healed, something floating in your back doesn't heal over time, it doesn't. Datsyuk yea but Z going to the Olympics and maybe back for the beginning of the playoffs will be better then sitting two weeks, and that thing floating in his back magically disappearing and him getting surgery 2-3 weeks later... So I agree with you but it actually helped Z more then it hurt him.

People expect Howard to steal every game, not gonna happen. We have a patch job of a defense. We have 1 top 2 d man in kronwall, Ericsson is 3-4 and dekeyser is a 3-4 rookie. Goaltending is not our problem. Does Howard give up soft ones yes, every goalie does, but does out d give up too many second chances and high priority scoring chances. A huge yes. Basically your statement was our injury riddled, AHL team sucks. Like it wasn't obvious we would struggle with half a line up and not having a top pairing D man to go with kronwall lol. Yet were still in a playoff race... Go figure...
