Always happens first week of camp... Alfie is just sore, takes time to get the muscles back moving again. Franzen was just a hip flexor, hopefully same is season ending and we can IR him and Eaves could be more but if it's a clapper of the knee might take a weeke or two to heal back up but highly doubt anything is broken there... Don't panic yet LGW, even though we all love too... Lol

Weird seeing Boston on the schedule and even though its only a Pre-Season game this will likely be one of our biggest rivals. Sooo different but such a nice feeling.

In just sending Nyquist, Deke and someone else down at the start of the season gives up cap relief and roster relief... I have a big feeling tootoo will be waived, helm starts the season on IR. There are plenty of ways out of this with out losing valuable pieces. Yes there will be some casualties and some guys might have to sit in the back seat for a month till we can actually start doing stuff with the roster...

I don't think Tatar would clear anyway, but if we lose a top prospect over this... then theres a HUGE problem... I guess our best Solution as much as it sucks... Helm goes on IR, Emmerton gets waived... don't need him with Helm and Andersson centering the bottom 2 lines... Nyquist starts in GR till roster room is cleared with a move of Sammy, Eaves, or Miller or someone haha. Or we just wait for Sammy or Bert to get hurt in training camp haha

I know some one said you already forgot Tootoo, but as well you forgot eaves and emmerton... all are still currently on our roster hahaha what a mess...

I hope I have to eat crow but I would be extremely surprised to see abdelkader in the 40's and I'll be happy in the 30's.... People will try to compare him to homer cause of his job but people forget just how good holmers hands were, and I'm not just talking deflections.... If anybody recalls his penalty shot....

We did improve... Smith, Dekeyser, Nyquist, Tatar, Andersson... (And Mantha in his mind lol)Weiss for filppula is a horizontal move and maybe better, he finally gets to play with real players and a real team. I hear so many people complain about youth and now that it's hear we want to get guys like lecav and clarkson... I know clarkson isn't that old but he wants a top 6 roster spot for 7 years... No room with apparently Tatar, nyquist and jarnkrok all figured to be eventual top 6 guys. You sign guys like clarkson at their lows not their highs cause they usually fall inbetween... Like clowe... Sign him low and hope he gets back to 20-30 goal pace if not oh well...

I think this season will be Howards best season and I think he will get Vezina talk. Last season he was getting plenty of Vezina talk until he got injured and that knocked him off his game. This season he started out badly but I blame that on not playing a game for 9 months. In this shortened off season I think Howard will be among the best in the NHL. I dont think he will dominate one stat but overall I think he will be one of the best.

I understand that but Neal is probably the only signed tradable player on their team. Then you have to ask your self at the end of the day, "what's more valuable to your team?" Neal or Letang? Pittsburgh will be awful if they have to rely on Martin as their main go to on D... Yes highly I likable but probably there beat option...

I dont mind going as high as 3 million for him... The kid does have a knack at scoring goals and a full season I could see him reaching close to 25-30, especially after a full training camp. Our biggest lack right now is goal scoring and you dont fix that by trading away one of your better shooters. This was his first year in smaller rink and the reason we made it to the 2nd round and almost the third was because we were able to have guys that could score on our lower lines. We NEED Brunner back unless you plan on spending 5 million in FA for a similar type player.
