If you have a bad PP you play your stars for at least 1:30 of the PP so they can try to get the offense going you don't give over half of it away to 3rd and 4th liners...

Miller, Brunner, Abdelkader, Quincey and Kindl for a minute of our PP... Bascially Babcock waving the white flag.... what a joke...

If this pp doesn't get going at some point and soon not only will it be a struggle to make playoffs but if we do we don't stand a chance at going anywhere...

Its depressing when you feel you have no chance to win if you go down by 2 goals... This team has 0 offense and are reinforcements coming back are Filppula and Samuelsson. Which will break up our 3rd line which is the only line I think that has any consistency over the last 5 games. But that 720 spin on wasn't a dive???

Yea, I noticed that as well. I also had my cousin complaining because the NYR vs NYI game there was only 3 penalties called that entire game, which sadly included one in OT but was a well deserved call. I have been seeing a lot more low penalty games, but still plenty of games with a lot of calls.

I agree but at the same time... it is there captain and young star.. I can understand standing up for him... Probert and McCarty would have throttled anybody for laying out Yzerman like that....

I don't understand how people are comparing the Tootoo and the Schenn hit... Tootoo's hit he did not jump, he stayed low to not make contact with his head, and for those who said he boarded him, the Rule states violently hits the boards. Those you say its boarding can you say he honestly he the boards violently. Schenns hit he was practically a foot off the ice before he made contact. It is called charging because that is the only rule in the book that covers jumping at a players head. There is no Jumping into a hit penalty and it falls under Charging. Look at both points of impact and if you are telling me they are the same thing then I feel sorry for you.. Tootoo's hit was as clean as a open ice hit like that can come, he stopped skating almost 10 feet out from the hit, what else is he supposed to do stop and then hit him? Schenn's hit was called charging because he JUMPED, and was a foot of the ice, before contact was made.

My biggest problem was he Jumped... he could have stayed low since he had from the blue line to line it up... but instead he went up with it into his chin and head... you have never been able to jump into a hit...

i would have to say it was because we couldn't bury for the life of us and I love Tootoo's game but it isn't built around goal scoring...

we do that a lot, maybe the goalie isn't hot but instead were hitting them with the puck... when it becomes a trend, they aren't all hot tenders...
