I believe Radulov wants it to happen because then next season he will be up for contract renewal and hope for more money. Otherwise he has to play a full season at the 800k instead of a month or two. He won't get a huge pay raise unless he is UFA and some one wants to try to steal him from Nash but being that he is younger I figured he would be RFA?

I understand what you are saying, but the major difference is free agent and already contracted player. Believe it or not this is exactly what Hudler could have done and I'm glad he didn't. When he returned we had him for 2 years on his contract first year sucked but then he got his game back. Now just imagine how that would have worked out if his first year back was just 11 playoff games and then his horrible season. Radulov is already signed IF he ever does return to the NHL he has to play that one year for Nashville. Whether it be just playoffs after his KHL contract runs up or a full season the season after his KHL contract is up *please don't take his is the 100% truth this is just my understanding of the rule I could be completely wrong or spot on.*

I believe he doesn't have to clear because he is under contract. The one draw back if he plays this season it takes a year off his contract. Soo if he if he has two years left and he plays this season he would be a free agent after next season. Basically instead of having two full seasons with him they would get 1 and a quarter

This just in.... Not in the line up tonight was Datsyuk, Lidstrom, ericsson, kindl, and Howard. How dare we lose to one of the best offensive teams in the league 3-2 with out our #1 D, selke "owner", and starting goalie. I don't complain much but to hear all this doom and gloom stuff cause were 2 points out of first in our divison and tied for the NHL lead = first round bust???? Wow.... I love coming here I do because there is a lot of great hockey conversations that go one but damn this up and down between wins and losses by some people just gets old I think it's time I start using the forum block system... I love checking out how our prospects are doing, but I hate trying to compare them to who they would replace. I bet over 10 years ago we never would have thought Datsyuk would basically take the helm from Datsyuk, and Zetterberg from Shanahan. It is hard to tell what players will be come what. If I remember correctly Zetterberg never put up a ton of points in the Elitserien but then came over here and was runner up to the Calder. Some players hit a wall and never reach there potential, some get the right attitude and right enviroment and shoot through the ceiling. There will be some surprises out there, and I cant wait to see who it is so I can buy their jersey. Hoping Jurco, I want to see another 91 in Detroit.... crash

I will be at this one too! Was really excited to see Datsyuk and Howard play but none the less I'm still pumped. Hopefully the kids come on flying and Smith lays another beat down!

Both teams, will lose games and slip up. It will just come down to who does it more. I'm going to assume we won't even have an idea about where the division might be until another 10-15 games obviously and I wouldn't be surprised if the Preds take a shot at the division too. I will admit we are in a tough spot with our injuries. The good thing is lids shouldn't miss more then one more Game. Howard hopefully won't miss more the. 1 or 2 and I'm hoping for the same with Datsyuk. I also believe currently have a d of Lids - white Kronwall - Staurt Smith - Quincey Will be a great D to finish out the season and the best. Lineup we could possibly put on the ice..
