So what does our D look like now.... Kronwall - White Smith - Stuart Kindl - Quincey ???? -
Hey that's what I did! Lol

Yea but I don't think Nabby would turn down moving if he was getting a starting job for a playoff team, but I do realize the isles are trying to keep him. I'm also gonna assume the price for PA Parenteu had to be Asdsnine due to the prices. I thinks why there wasnt one legit offensive forward traded...

Yea I heard them say that, Kinda true. They also killed my fantasy considering I have. Kane, Sharp and Stalberg... lol I posted this in the other thread but I believe this is the true reason As disappointing as this deadline has been, I believe the Standings and the NHL's 3 point system is to blame. As of right now there are so many teams in the Hunt cause of Overtime losses and the extra point it lowers the sellers and drives the prices up. Three Point System__________________Two Points System Capitals - 1 pt______________________ Florida - 2 pts Leafs -3 pts ________________________ Leafs - 2 pts Lightning - 6 pts____________________Tampa - 4 pts Sabres - 6 pts_______________________Sabres - 6 pts Islanders - 8pts _____________________Islanders - 8 pts LA - 2 pts___________________________Avs - 0 pts Avs - 2 pts__________________________LA - 8 pts Flames - 3 pts______________________Flames - 8 pts Wild - 5 pts ________________________Wild - 8 pts Ducks 6 pts ________________________Ducks - 10 pts I believe that if the standings were in a 2 point system that teams like Calgary, Anaheim, Minnasota and LA might be more willing to sell. Im also still very surprised that NYI wasnt in a selllers mode

2012 NHL Trade Deadline Thread - February 27th, 3:00 PM ET

Sigh, The sky isnt falling but Detroit definitely needs to address there need for a scorer hopefully we can this off season. There was no way we could compete with the price for Carter. We don't have a guy like Jack Johnson to trade unless you want to deal Filppula or Franzen and even then I dont think Filp is enough and dealing Franzen leaves us in the same spot we started in. I guess we won't really see how much of a difference adding Quincey will make until we are Healthy and we can see how good our Team Defense can play. Heres to hoping that the small moves that all the other West Coast teams made all end up really being just a slight improvement, and that there prospects pools are too slim to compete in the next 2-4 years. -

Sigh, guess when Kenny said we were saving the money for the deadline, he meant Free Agency... -

Soooo I don't like Bashing Holland about not trading because he has built a great Organization, but one of our biggest rivals just got better and the team that is fighting us for the 1st in the west is trying to improve. Please Holland, work something out with Darcy... -

The sides have been talking for the past month. Bertuzzi, 37, is in the last of a two-year deal that's averaged $1,937,500. His new deal is for closer to $2.2 million a season, and is backloaded. General manager Ken Holland told the Free Press last month that "I think Bert's been great all season." The Wings like how Bertuzzi has developed into a two-way player, and how he helped get the first line going after being put with Pavel Datsyuk and Johan Franzen on Nov. 17, in the game against Los Angeles. Bertuzzi has 12 goals and is plus-21 in 54 games this season. The Wings first acquired Bertuzzi in March of '07 at the trade deadline. He signed with Anaheim that summer after becoming an unrestricted free agent, but came back to Detroit two years later. The Wings like the size he brings (6-foot3, 200-plus pounds) and that he's accepted being a net-front guy and integrating defensive hockey into his game. "He's embraced everything we're about," Holland said. Edit: Bad link fixed

Kyle Quincey traded to Detroit in 3 team trade (TBL & COL)
Crashnburnluder replied to Tim.D's topic in General
I understand a bit and it frustrates me too, but st the end of the day a player needs ice time to develop. 3 years ago would you slot him before lids, rafalski, Stuart, kronwall? We couldn't give him the ice time and he was not the player he is now. I know it sucks but we basically gave up a pick for someone to develop him for us and give him 20+ minutes a night... Something we never could and still will struggle to give him. Quincey would not be the player he is today if he remained in our system. I firmly believe that. -
Kyle Quincey traded to Detroit in 3 team trade (TBL & COL)
Crashnburnluder replied to Tim.D's topic in General
I look at it this way, Detroit couldn't give him the ice time so they paid a 26-30 overall pick for someone to give him the ice time and help him develop. At 26 he is going to start playing his best hockey, I hope. Crash -
Datsyuk probably suffered the same injury I did. It will take minor scope surgery and I was back to full tilt in two weeks. I played on mine for 2 months before the surgery.. I was on crutches for a day and was skating a couple days after. Just took two weeks to feel fully comfortable

Living in the Philly area my self. You will not find a bigger group of fair weather fans in my life. Jealousy is the greatest form of flattery. I get to currently listen to flyers fans how trading JVR, Bobrosky, briere, and Couterier for Nash is a good idea because briere ( one of there best playoff guys) JVR (young stud) Couterier (very young stud) and bob (another young stud) are worth all 7.8 million of Nash because all These players suck... Yes even 18 year old Couterier... I hope they trade for Nash and kiss away the fortune they have. Philly fans of all there teams are very sky high or sewer low in there players... One minute they love you the next they don't....

ummm Im located in PA but I cant seem to find the game anywhere on Direct TV... sigh

Lol.... I forgot who posted it but someone Saying bout giving up a star which I disagree about.... I don't see stars getting swapped much. Besides Heatley for Havlat.... Look at the bigger names. Kovalchuk, Richards, Carter, thornton heck even Burns it's usually up and comers plus prospects picks.... Especially from a team that's in the "Fail for Nail" process Side note.... I would never do it for loyalty reason but... Id be willing to move Z for Nash and let Filppula have second line center lol.... But I love Z too much but he is slowly decreasing in production...
-
I love HFboards when trades like this come up. My favorite offer so far To Philadelphia Rick Nash To Columbus Michael Leighton Andreas Lilja Jody Shelley 5rd round pick. Lol
-
Quebec??? Or is that reserved for the Yotes lol
-
I think if u based a trade around this it could work , since of they move him it's for a rebuild To New Jersey: Ilya Kovalchuk, Anssi Salmela, Atlanta's 2010 2nd round pick To Atlanta: Johnny Oduya, Niklas Bergfors, Patrice Cormier, New Jersey's 2010 1st and 2nd round picks Obviously he is already signed, but also playing under par....
-
Is that you Dave Hester? Lol. (Storage Wars?) I will agree that a lot of these players like the puck and wsnt the puck... But it makes me drool a little think about a PP that has Homer in front and datsyuk feeding Malkin for one timers....

Repeat?
