Well maybe they told him this because they Kid can already fight.. everyone knows that... so maybe they want him to stay out of the box and work more on his offensive game and skills which so far looks like they have been improving... Hopefully thats all it is... I already have said this in other threads but he will be part of Grind Line 2.0... Mitchell (McCarty) Helm (Draper) Abdelkader (Matlby) I think it almost works out perfect and if you go to Wings games watch warm ups... and especially watch Draper and Helm... He slowly is starting to take over his role during warm ups... Especially in the Half moon shooting drill where draper makes the passes and then Helm steps in and finishes it... Crash

Yea rough go.... I would love to bring in a Defenseman to replace Salei.... I like him but I think another shutdown D would really help to tighten things up come playoffs.... Nothing huge... just a little move to really have tighten it up...

Yea I'm glad some people are in the same boat as me... I wasnt saying Niskanen amd Neal are bad I just don't think that have the upside that goligoski has... Neal is a good winger and will play crosbys wing... But without that top tier center he isn't a huge threat... Like I said 39 PTs playing with richards snd eriksson just doesn't impress me too much... I hope he does great until playoffs he is on my fantasy.... Lol

I just havnt heard a thing about any real potential about Niskanen... and I said Neal should get better... but he isnt doing anything big for where he was... on a First line and First PP unit... with the likes of Richards and Eriksson. I just figured he should be doing more in that posistion... Yes, I could quite possibly be wrong about Niskanen I just havn't heard of any huge up side about him... Yes will he get better probably... by leaps and bounds I don't think so... Goligoski was talked a lot about his potential to be a great up and coming defenseman... maybe thats all talk but I havn't heard anything about niskanen being the next number one D crop in Dallas... I don't follow Dallas's prospects that throughly but I have been following Neal a little I just don't think either of there upsides are as good as Goligoskis.... but we all know how it goes with potential and prospects... some reach it some don't crash

I think Pitt def. won the deal but even with 21 goal Neal has been some what under producing... He has played almost the entire season with Richards and Eriksson and has only managed 39 points in 55 games... They kid can shoot with will help Pittsburgh out but I don't think this trade is as slanted as people are saying... I don't see Niskanen getting any better either... currently a Win for Pitt right now... but if Goligoski becomes what he should even if Neal progressives some it will be relatively an even trade with a chance for the Stars to win out cause of the potential Goligoski has and the so far lacking that Neal has reached it on Dallas top like with one of the biggest stars in the league of Richards.... He was seeing first line PP minutes too... maybe i have my Hate glasses on for the Pens... I do think they won the trade... but not by the margin everyone is thinking... crash

Is Dallas really thinking about dealing Richards??? Last I checked they were still in the playoff race, currently 7th in the west? That just confused me, is there more to this story I don't know?

Yup that new era will be the euro twins 2 era... True euros.... Pulkkinen and Jarnkrok... (I tried it on NHL 11 and they win it every year haha) but if kids like that can make the difference they maybe be your next big steals.... Yes still big ? Marks but weren't Datsyuk and Zetterberg the year we drafted them.... I don't think anyone could say on their draft day that they would be our 1 and 2 guys on the front end and Datayuk would challenge for the Hart.... And they are saying Jarnkrok is a mold of Henrik.... I already have my Pulkkinen jersey on reserve lol

1. I am hoping for 2 anything more will exceed my expectations. I'm really hoping guys like jarnkrok and pullkinen really pick up the torch and learn how to play from Datsyuk and zetterberg... I think we win it this year with Datsyuk winning the MVP 2. I think he can.... But he won't be winning any playoff MVP's 3. No he will injure himself out of the league or over price himself off the team 4. Yes, scout, coach or something... One last thing... I know this team will take a hit from Lidstrom retiring... But he was somewhat of a surprise to turn out as good as he was and is.... You never know what gem you can unearth through the draft.... Guys like smith could become a doughty and guys like pulkkinen could be come the next hull, kurri.... You just never know which makes it exciting.... As long as we have Holland and illitch.... I may be wrong but I thought his Agent can only say so much to the other teams or else is basically against rule regulations. I don't think he can tell teams not to claim him.. I know that sounds dumb but I thought I heard that some where but do not have a source sorry. Either way, we all know where he wants to play and if Snow really wants to put a wrench in the works over some pride issue and screw with one of the biggest agents in hockey, then let him dig his own grave. (also with the 400 wins under his belt) I think that a 1A and 1B tandem of Howard and Nabokov would do this team wonders next season... Yup... if teams in Place 15, 18, and 22 all put claims in right off the bat... they still wont get him if anybody lower puts a claim in no matter when... as long as its before the dead line the lowest place team with the claim gets him (and then waives him or finds another way to get him back to Detroit) lol crash

I think he understands that part... I think the part he is complaining about is the fact that teams have 38 hours to mull over the decision instead of the 24... Its just basically asking if you needed to make a tough decision would u rather a 24 hour period to think it over or 48.... Thats all... Him going on waivers immediately after the deal was processed would have only given teams until 10 PM or so tonight instead of 12 PM tomorrow... that extra 14 hours doesn't seem like a big deal but thats 14 more hours to set up a deal with another team to make room or something along those lines... crash

I want this move to happen just to give Howard a kick in the butt... Adding the goalie that took you out in last years playoffs in a 4-1 series should light a fire under him. Just like a lot of players do, when you are not being challenged you tend to slow down and get complacent. Well hopefully this goes through he doesn't get claimed and either Howard gets his A game back or Nabby shows what he can do with a good rotation and not 70+ games a season. crash
