I don't know if I just don't pay attention to the dates enough, but to me 4 Back to Back games seems like an awful lot for just one month. I find that really odd especially because of the fact our biggest rest this month is two days and that only happens twice? Im guessing thats how Chicago's schedule was for the first quarter of the season... crash

So they take a flight to NJ? I think your missing the point. The farthest team in there conference is Pittsburgh which is a whopping 5 hour drive. The other 3 are all within two hours driving distance and Washington is just as close. I'd take that road trip for a double header any day of the week. Im stating the fact that our double headers consist of Montreal to New Jersey, Vancouver to St. Louis and Minnesota to Colorado. Im not saying that there is anything wrong about it.. The other thing that makes it harder is our back to backs all involve a decent amount of travel except for the first one... What I would do to play in the east where a team like Philly can bus it to at least 4 arenas, maybe 5. Crash

Callahan played a little interference (not much at all but it was there) but Crosby with the BLATANT slew foot that was uncalled and the sad part was the ref had to be watching cause he called Callahan... crash

Okay.... My Girlfriend and I are going to be in Detroit on Nov. 17th for the Blues game. Im really excited my girlfriend is just putting up with it for me (she's a Ducks fan). Back to the question, We obviously want to grab food but since we don't know the area to well we are trying to stay closer to the arena when we eat (Thinking about Cheli;s Chili). I also was curious and traveling advice since we will be entering through Windsor, and the parking situation down there and any advice with that. I know we also might head over to Hockeytown Authentics before we park in the city but I would love to hear any other ideas of things to do in the city or near by or any advice or things that would make our trip more entertaining and enjoyable. I believe the suspension is fine... His intent was to get hit him hard and high, and i believe a lot of opinions would be different if there was an injury. If Briere caught him in the face and he busted up his nose or took out some teeth then there would be a problem. The NHL finally did something right and suspended on the act not the result. I have read a lot of people on these boards commenting about how many suspensions are only related to the injury and that is a flawed system and I completely agree. If a player goes to lay his stick across the chin of his opponent but misses it should be less then the guy that goes to do the same thing and connects. I for once applaud the league for this suspension, but before I give them too much credit that was a bad call i believe on Hunter. The Hunter call was exactly like the Kronwall on Havlat hit (I'm not saying the kind of hit im saying the result). Kronwall got a 5 and a game for the hit because of the INJURY and that is exactly what Hunter got. Thats just my two cents.

Did this guy really just compare The Matt Cooke's hit on Savard to Kronwall's hit on Selanne.... Pens fans are hitting an all time low... this poor guy... Can some one please sit him down and explain to him what exactly is going on in hockey and how checking actually works in this sport... he obviously doesn't understand... Im thinking that unless we get a lead in this game that Hudler might see some second line Ice time along side Filp and Bertuzzi, along with some PP time. Im not going to say it will last all game but unless Hudler - Modano - Cleary start creating some great chemistry and start running teams shows down low and getting some good chances then I think Babcock will juggle em tonight. I think the 3rd line can cycle the puck fine its just them finding the open ice and getting the puck there... Once Hudler starts finding Modano open he will start pocketing some goals and cleary will get a lot more chances in front of the net... crash

by the new rule it still is a clean hit... If you watched the video on NHL.com of them showing examples of a clean hit that would fall under the rule as a clean hit.... He hit all shoulder to shoulder... Letang made sure he kept his elbow in and drover through the body not the head... The rule was made for hits like Richards on Booth and Cooke on Savard where ONLY the head was aimed for and contacted. This will happen time to time until the refs get used to the new rule.... Just like when the league re did the hooking rules. There were a million hooking and interference penalties in the first couple months of the season but once the refs got a better understanding of the rule, they declined to a maintainable degree. crash

lets all jump on Hudler... two assists in four games.... I believe another guy has the same amount of points and gets a lot more Ice time and plays with the likes of Datsyuk... Yes, Like everyone else I want our third line to play better and become very potent and a line that defenses have to worry about, but we have to deal with the fact that the 3 guys on that line all have to gel and get over some humps. Hulder back on NHL ice with NHL competition, not international ice with KHL players. Modano dealing with a new franchise after I believe 20 years. Cleary trying to bounce back from what we all know was a injury riddled season for him. I believe that they will get and once Hudler starts finding Modano with the passes and Cleary starts crashing the net the goals and assists will start coming... All three of our lines have the same dynamics.... A passer, A scorer, and A net presence and grinder.... give em time and they will produce... if this is still going on through games 12-15 then we can start wondering and getting on there case.... crash

I'm going to have to disagree with you heaten... I still believe the Pens are the most overrated team in the league by a long shot... Getting picked to Win the east.... Brett Hull wasn't a good skater either, Pulkkinen sounds like a guy that post up on the weak side and just blasts home one t's and clappers all game. You don't have to be a skater to score just have to put your self in scoring posistion or open ice. Crash

Lidstroms pass wasnt touched... just got under it... it happens... even to the best of them...

I have Center Ice.... and an HD box and Tv on Direct tv... I got all the games in HD last season... but so far both the Leafs game and Calgary game are not being televised on NHL Center ice in HD... Is anybody else having this same problem or just me... The guide looks like the games will be in HD tom. and that the Wings game will be HD so hopefully thats right... Crash
