I know i have stumbled on here a couple times that it could be within the next 2 weeks or so.... Does anybody know of how close he really is to returning? Or has anybody read anything on how he has been doin lately and if he is skating or not? Crash

As much as I hate having no Versus cause of Direct TV, but I take my Direct TV any day over Comcast.... Comcast NHL Package is brutal... They rarely ever have any game in HD and tonight the only feed for the Atlanta Montreal game is in FRENCH lol..... Comcast is a joke........ I am extremely glad I switched... 40 dollars for the NHL Center Ice package for the year... but losing versus.... is definitly worth it.... SCREW COMCAST.... Crash

and sorry... i kinda help railroad the original topic.... But I dont think the refs broke up the fight for no reason... It is the responsibilty of the officals to break up the fight if a player is at risk... and a player being blinded by his jersey cause he didnt tie down his jersey is a risk of injury.... its fighting blind... that is why the fight was broken up... in my opinion.... crash

I believe its because in such a close call situation with a lot of players you have to expect to get debated on the fact when you just claim a certain player flat out the best in all aspects ( "A complete player"). You may have not meant in all aspects especially with what you said about defense comparable to datsyuk. Its hard to argue the fact the Ovechkin isnt a better defensive player when he has had a better plus minus the past two years... which included a plus 28.... but you also have to count in the -19 that was 3 years ago... Another thing you have to realize yes Ovehckin has a good supportin cast, but Crosby has a better one.... Malkin feeds off crosby and I would much rather be feeding malkin then semin.... The biggest factor with the debate about Ovechkin and Crosby is the fact of defense, plus minus, and hitting.... Ovechkin racks up the hits night in and night out... and yes that will probably take a toll on him in the future but honestly I see Ovechkin as more complete player then Crosby.... Im not saying Ovechkin is the best in the league... but Ovechkin has better numbers in the defensive department.... no matter what the discussion will never be black and white... but when you make a statement like that people that disagree with post back... yes some dont do it in the most mature ways or use anything to back up what they say... but it happens...

Carmen.... I am a crosby hater and I have to disagree with you that he is the most complete player in the league... He had less goals then Malkin and Ovechkin last year... Had less points then both of them last year.... Didnt even get nominated for the Hart last season... had 103 points? and was a plus 3.... Complete player my ass... a complete player puts the puck in the net.... and keeps it out of his... a Plus 3 isnt a defensive player.... Explain to me why he is a complete player... Taking him self out of the game for 5 minutes cause he is frustrated isnt a good thing... yes he fought and for once didnt jump a guy completely and no he was not sticking up for anyone and was not trying to make a statement... He did it because he was frustrated with getting owned cause he doesnt have malkin to help take the strain of him.... Crosby is not a complete player and has no class... from not shaking hands after the Stanley Cup (dont blame his age every other captain found a way to the hand shake line) he doesnt might 99% of the time he jumps players... and in a league poll 50%+ of the players said he was the biggest whiner there was in the league.... crash

I dont lose any respect with Devellano for stating this... because right now the way we are playing and such its true.... My only thing that confuses me is why is this seasons team considered such a down fall... Yes last year we had a monster of a team, but Im more looking at the year that we won the cup....? I know from that year we lost Hudler, Sammy, Lilja, Hasek, and now Franzen.... Is there anybody else im missing... thats where I get confused did Hasek really make that big of an impact that season in net.... did Hudler do that much damage and same with sammy...? I know franzen really didnt start flying high and really finding the net until the last 20 games or so.... I dont know why but I still think this team is a deeper team until you hit our goaltending... There are probably a lot of people that disagree with me... and any input on this would be amazing... because quite frankly I dont understand it besides that fact that the team just needs to start gelling and the new guys need to get the systems down to a T..... Maybe im still just being extremely optimistic... but I think we still have a great team in front of us and with our core and additions I think we have a great chance to be heading deep into the playoffs again... especially when franzen gets back and depending on the duration of his IR I guess there is room that it takes away some of his Cap hit so we might be able to one one more piece..? Yes, a lot of our guys are struggling... but I still believe this team is possibly better on paper then the 08 Cup team.... besides the goaltending... If I'm missing any key pieces from the cup year please inform me.... Crash...

I know that lately everybody has been really ummm for lack of a better word... bummed out about how the Wings have started the season. I haven't really heard anyone mention it in many of the other topics and might have missed it but I am excited for Thursday's game because I believe Z is starting to get on track. He missed a lot of training camp so these are kinda his preseason games to get up to speed. It seemed to me that in the game against Buffalo, even though we got slaughtered you have to try to take as much good out of it as you can. It seemed like Hank had a couple good scoring chances but just couldn't find the back of the net... I dont know if I am alone in my thinking but I feel that tomorrow night's game could be one where he starts to find the net and scoresheet on a more regular basis. I am far from panic mood but with all the new personnel it would be a huge help if ZDB could take a big stride in tomorrow's game and become one of the best lines in the league again.... It would take a lot of weight off the 2nd and 3rd lines shoulders, but also let a lot of fans take a sigh of relief and realize we have a great team in front of us..... Hello all, Okay first of let me state I am a GUY... lol... Im searching for a gift for my girlfriend and well something that I can enjoy and she can enjoy. I have been looking at red wings sweatpants and shorts. The problem is almost everything I find is labeled as girls. It seems that there is nothing I can find that is labeled as womens. My first question being is there just a lack of womens clothing or could a 22 year old around 5'-9" with a pretty athletic body (wont say weight I know girls hate that haha) fit in the girls or are they only really made for actull kids. I hoping that they are all just labeld girls but Im assuming that they are made for kids. Goaltending wasnt really as bad as it sounds... I was at the game.... The first couple of phillys goals were pretty bounces for them... They had a couple pucks bounce in front of the net and osgood didnt get much of a shot at them. vanRiemsdyk's goal was the only one i think osgood should have made a save on. He wasnt screened and he got burnt glove high. Keep in mind it was a beautiful shot, but it still needs to be stopped. VanRiemsdyk's other goal was another good bounce for philly.... Osgood had some big stops just didnt catch a lot of bounces.. It wasnt as bad as you all think... and PS. Carcillos goal was a beautie...
