I just did a search on TicketMaster for game 1 to see how bad it was and I found 15 seats In a Row Unsold. I found that astounding. There should be no empty seats in the playoffs, obviously Illitch has to change something!

i have to agree with HC, last year in the playoffs Manny let in a lot of "soft" goals that I think cost us. This year with Dom in net and all of the experience I think its going to be a whole different story this year. I believe!

I think that Polanco = Lidstrom. Both are very consistent and work hard and get the job done. Both were very underrated and are now getting noticed a lot more because Lidstrom is the Captain, and Polanco helped us to a World Series. I think that it is an interesting comparison of what people think of the two athletes in their respective leagues.

Back in 2003 My uncle got an invitation to have his kids skate at the Joe and meet some of the wings at an event only extended to a certain few as i understand. Knowing the big Red Wings Fan that I am he extended the invitation to me. It was a great experience. At first the invited were allowed to skate around for around a half hour. The first wing out was Manny Legace and I was the first to recognize him, probably because he wasnt well known at the time. Some of the other Red Wings I met while skating at the Joe were Joe Kocur, Luc Robitialle, Jason Williams, Barry Smith, Dave Lewis and my favorite Steve Yzerman. This took place during the period of time Stevie was out due to that knee injury following the 2002 playoff run. He signed autographs from the Red Wing Bench. I was very surprised at how the players were willing to sign autographs and take pictures with everyone all day. All the players were very friendly and nice. Luc Robitialle even brought his kids along and were skating with all the other people. Following that we were invited to the Olympia room for food while Dave Lewis gave a nice speech and informed us of some goingons. It was probably the best day in my life that I will never forget. Also I met Chris Chelios and Sean Avery at a Motor City Mechanics game. Both were very nice. Cheli took the time to autograph quite a few things of mine as there were little people at the back entrance. Derian Hatcher was very rude. I know that he had his wife pick him up at a different exit to avoid signing autographs for the 5 or so of us that were there. I know this because the security were joking about it. Following that a car sped by and the security laughed and said theres Hatcher. That is one of the reasons that I do not like Hatcher and am glad he is not a Red Wing.

i know a lot of you are weary of splitting up the Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Holmstrom line. But with Zetterberg out for tonight I just might have to throw Lang in there with Datsyuk. Perhaps some hustle and hard work could rub off on him and he might get his confidence back goin again and he could be the power foward he used to be for our second line again. I definitly wouldnt split up our top line, but I would consider it for tonight, and a few shifts here and there in the future.... We could at least throw them out there for a couple of shifts to maybe spark something with Lang. I just want to see Lang get it goin again because the play of late has been disgusting. If Lang gets it going and Burt gets out here, and Sammy we got ourselves a Powerhouse.. not really on the main topic of future lines..... but close

What is the reasoning behind the removal of these third jersies. I think the situation should remain like it is now. The only thing about these jersies is that the majority of them are pretty ugly. I do like the retro jerseys, just a lot of these jersies are just plain awful!

they should definitly keep the Sabres and the leafs third jerseys!

this got me thinkin of back in 2002 when the wings were playing the Avs and there was a scrum in front of the Colorado net, and Hasek comes all the way from his own crease to fight and he tripped on a stick or caught an edge or something lol
