Just saw the replay of the goal called off with Bertuzzi. So this is just like every other goddam game...Howie gives up one pansy goal, we got slammed like Ned Beatty during "Deliverance" by the frickin' refs!

Isn't this the team that had the most feared offense in the league a few short months ago? We couldn't score with a junior-high cheerleader after a Rufey cocktail! This is just puke-inducing. :!:

I just got home and turned the game on... This is my worst goddamn unimaginable nightmare... Are we REALLY down 1-0 to the worthless Oilers at home on a Friday night? This is like frickin' Groundhog Day. We will presumably put up a valiant but non-productive flurry of goal chances with fifty seconds left. I can't believe this. This sucks. God.

Holy s***! We're up 1-0, I get a phone call from work, and turn the TV back on and we're down by one. I guess I can't take any more phone calls.

I give them an 80% chance of winning the first round. If they win that, 50% chance of winning the second round. If they win that, 40% chance of winning Western Conference. If they win that, 45% chance of winning The Cup. So...about a 1-in-fourteen chance of winning The Cup. Yeah, that sounds about right. Slightly better odds than a random 1-in-16, but certainly not an overwhelming favorite.

I think the Howard-haters are full of crap (at least concerning tonight.) He didn't cost us the game. He didn't necessarily WIN it for us, but our D played MUCH worse than Howie did, on average. If the whole D played at Howie's level, we would have had a win.
