Detroit played like dogs***. Defensive collapse and a stiffled offense. We need Datsyuk back in the lineup. No more Mr. Game 4 Marrian Hossa this time. This series is far from over. But the Wings HAVE to win Game 5. I dont know why we cant solve the Pens defense. Pens try to collapse but I mean there are some golden opportunities missed by us. This is a best of 3 right now. WE NEED DATSYUK BACK. Should I repeat this more? He can give the Wings a nice boost emotionally but defensively. He can play strong hockey. Babs needs to do something to get this team going again, we got outplayed and couldnt come back when the Pens werent playing good. Our PK needs to be better. Our offense has score. No more defensive fubars. I know we are tired and out of gas and probably a flu is running around our locker room. But I mean this isnt anthing new for people. This better be a wakeup call for the rest of the team or else this series is going to be putting a lot of fans in cardiac arrest.

For those of us who picked bad officiating... Im not sure we can recover for game 4.

I did all my rituals for Game 7 against the Ducks. I was watching it. My friends wanted me to go out with them and said what I do has no outcome on the game. I said, he was right got up and left. Wings still won. We can call this sorta stuff because we are intelligent at hockey? Just a guess.

Exactly. This is why we need Dats back pronto. He can take over a shift or two and cover Malkin. Who knows... maybe score a goal?!

The Wings on the bench were yelling at the Refs, the linesman watch the Pen skate back to the bench, no penalty. Makes it awefully hard to play/win a game when stuff like this dominated the night.

This is total bulls***. Rules are the rules. If this were ANY other team this wouldn't happen, even if it was Ovie.

Yeah. Once we get Dats back its lights out. Excellent job Wings! Hossa is getting close to scoring I can feel it.

5 Reasons why Detroit will win this series: 1. Depth. So Zetterberg isn't single handedly delivering us to the SCF. Thats a good thing. Different people on different nights produce for us (we miss you Dats) and this is good beause all 4 lines are dangerous. Helm's PK in Game 5 is another strong indication that depth is present. 2. Defense. It wins you championships. Wings focus heavily on Defense and build Offense on that 3. Pens aren't as good as last year. You have Crosby and Malkin that are on fire. Who else is producing for them? They take the full load and the Pens rely on them to score goals. They won't be doing much in the SCF thanks to our defense. Our four lines will put a lot of pressure on their other guys. Basically, the Pens don't have the key guys who stepped up against Detroit last year to make it a series. Argue with me on this one if you want, but time will tell. I personally think this Wings team is better overall than it was last year. I don't last years team could beat the Ducks. But I expect Hossa, Dats, and Z to step it up to further punish the Pens. 4. As far as this repeat crap goes, no comparison to the Oilers-Islanders matchup. There was a post earlier on these forums talking about the Oilers and Penguins and comparing the teams overall. Wings beat them last year, they know what to do to beat them this year. If anything, the Pens will do everything in their power to avoid the mistakes last year and that will really strain them. Their best bet is to play the series, which is how they will lose anyway. 5. Coaching. Pens like to do plays that Detroit is very strong at defending against. Assuming the Detroit remains disciplined on Defense, the Pens will have to come up with other ideas to score on Detroit. Plus, Babcock is a superior coach, and so is his staff and Kenny, etc. I do feel nervous a little bit, but I say "We beat the Ducks". We can beat the Pens again. This might be a hell of a series, but I think depth is what will be the difference maker. I would like to add that Ozzie is another big reason why we are here. I would feel a little foolish for giving him a reason why the Wings will win, but Osgood wants this more than anyone I feel. Look for him to steal a game. Sorry Pens fans. Detroit still is the most complete hockey team right now.

You are right, the league revolves around Cindy. I am going to be using words like Dynasty, Winning, Defense, etc.... words you won't understand, but thats ok. That Self-named hockeytown thing? We earned it, through, I dunno, DYNASTY? WINNING a lot due in part because of our awesome DEFENSE? Jonesy says the Pens have experience, which is bulls***. They only thing they learned is how bad losing feels that first time. Just be happy that the Pens made it into the playoffs. The Capitals took you guys to Game 7, which I thought was unrealistic. Go ahead, cry about it. If any team right now, in all of 20 years of past played hockey, the Red Wings are the guys who can get it done when they get to the SCF. Right now, no pressure for the Wings. They beat them last year, and your team doesn't look that good as it did last year. Did you see the grim look on Cindy's face when they won this year? They knew they would face the one team that would use DEFENSE and bring utter hell to them. Oh, and we have Hossa too, a major performer for you last year. Bottom line: shut up, stop bitching, I'm guessing you became a hockey fan a couple years ago... coincidentally when Cindy was drafted. Be respectful if you want to talk with us.

Ok. I hate to say it, but the Penguins will hit worse trouble against the Wings this year than before. The Pens have lost key players that stepped it up against Detroit in teh SCF last year. I watched them play, and a lot of their success comes from plays the Wings are usually best at stopping. Defense wins you championships, not Offense. We beat the Ducks, and the Ducks would wipe the floor with the Pens (we ALL know that). Lets face it. Its a repeat finals, so lets repeat! Wings in 5 so we can celebrate in Detroit. We almost put them out in 5 games last year, I think with the teams and rosters and play of late... Wings can nail this sucker down in 5. Lets not forget the Caps took them to 7 Games.

If Cindy can get Kronwalled.... that would be epic. Wings should be very physical.

OK. Let me just say what I always have been saying. Filp and Hossa are a MUST. Throw Franzen in their line too. ZDH IS WHAT WON US THE CUP LAST YEAR AND WHY NOT GO WITH IT AGAIN? Those two lines plus rolling others for 4 lines will not only flex scoring lines, but get our depth out there. Remember the magic of mixing lines against the Ducks in Game 4 and Game 4 against the Hawks? We have the lethal combination here. Babs just needs to get it going.

Duck Guy, you are the man. This was a hard fought series, and the winner, no matter who, would deserve it. I'm not the biggest Duck fan, but at least the classy fans like you still make it respectable.
