Now, do we have a reason to win? What took them so long to get the puck to Franzen? Do they not understand hes RED HOT and should have a lot of chances? From what I saw it was all 3rd and 4th lines getting most of the attempts. As soon as the game ended I saw exactly what I wanted to see. Frustration in the Wings. Thank you ******* Rob Neider-****** for that super late elbow on Dats. An all out brawl for a minute also showed some passion, but i mean where the hell were the Wings? Did they get the wrong address? And of course, big surprise, the Refs let WAYYY too much slide for the Ducks and of course, late whistles. I'm getting tired of the blaming refs card and the Wings should learn from last years finals that it won't get them anywhere... After all the cheap shots and bs that happened, can the Wings finally rise above this crap and just win? The Ducks were PATHETIC tonight. Pee Wee's could have closed them out! I know the ice was crappy but how can so many of our passes be off target? Why take forever to shoot instead of one timing it? Its the same thoughts we all had running through our minds watching this mockery of a NHL Game. And I am pissed like a lot of people. This series should have ended in 5 games with the Wings on top. Now its a Game 7. Does anyone feel a 7-0 style blowout coming on? Or am I just wishing I was on dope? If this isn't the mother of all primers to get the ass-kicking machine fired up we don't deserve it. Thoughts? I mean what do you guys expect to happen?

Neider-****** is dirtier than a pig who spends its days rolling around in its own s***. Pronger too. Should Neider-****** be suspended? Yes, I mean that elbow had every intent to injure when Dats was only holding Neider-****** to break things up. And Perry was a total ***** for what he did. Getzlaf too. Let me put this in all caps... NONE OF THE DUCKS WILL EVEN GET A STERN TALKING TO OR SLAP ON THE WRIST FROM THE NHL. My hope is that the Ducks have a bus break down on 8 Mile and let the karma insue. I say bring D-Mac in and start handing out ass-kickings. He should be broken in half, he is old, drinks ensure and wear's diapers. What these guys did was totally pathetic and doesn't belong in any ice rink. These guys are supposed to be professionals. They aren't. If this were any real professional sports league or a shred of one, Neider-****** would be suspended for Game 7.

I'll be on the road tomorrow from Flagstaff to Oklahoma City. So I will miss the crushing defeat of the Ducks. So in my stead, I cry, but GO GET THEM RED WINGS! LETS GO RED WINGS!!! LETS GO RED WINGS!!! LETS GO RED WINGS!!! BEAT THEM BAD!

They did a great job tonight. Babs needs to keep it like he did tonight. Z and Dats have to be on the same line. Hossa and Franzen and Filp were AWESOME. Best game I have seen in a while

Miller gone. Wings have offensive domination. This series is looking great. Our skating and depth can wear them down.

I have the biggest smile on my face.

If we lose game 4 I have the idea that the Wings should dust off their golf clubs. The Wings somehow just dont have it in them. Our offense is sucking wind huge. You think it wouldn't be hard to say, go out there and do what you have been doing all along. Even if we win game 4, I don't think with how things are going that the Wings will make it out of this series. Things are so bad that my lucky jersey didnt see a win tonight, the first loss EVER (owned it for a year and a half now and only wear it when the Wings need it the most). As for blame? Its San Jose's fault. They suck and should promptly remove themselves from the NHL.

Any good streams besides ustream?

just dont sit Helm. This guy should have scored the game winner in Game 2, he put 120% effort in every shift. Eventually he will get a goal, but damn I am impressed.

I knew we couldnt sweep the Ducks. I said Wings in 5. An I wish that were true. But I am not too sure how easy this will be. Hiller is doing good, but we showed his rookie status can be a weak point. But the problem is the Ducks know how to play D against the Wings. And let me add its very hard to stop Pronger's slap shot and having Teemu out there to shoot the rebound. I have said in 07 that Teemu is an offensive power house, and every chance he has to shoot the puck I cringe because hes that good. Wings need to mix it up. The low slot isn't that much of an option, especially with Pronger and Neds there. Behind the net and try to draw them out is a great way to do it. How will the Wings beat the Ducks? Defense is a must. No sloppy skating or anything. And we they need to work a better game plan to get the puck to the net to generate scoring chances. I might make a suggestion that we reunite Z and Dats and move Hossa with Fronzen. If we have to win both Games in Anaheim or split worse case. Going down 3-1 is how we lose this series.

So, I am studying in Arizona and several friens of mine are Yotes fans and are pretty upset in what just happened today with the trades. Lets back the clocks up 2 years ago. This time two years ago they dumpe their roster for draft picks, and this was looking good because the Russian Super League was considering letting its players being drafted. This turned out that the Coyotes could have some picks at excellent talent, and all was well for them. That Russia deal bombed out, but somehow the next year the Coyotes almost made it into the playoffs. Then this past summer they picked up Ollie, which was poised to put them over the top and in a spot to snag a playoff spot. Then this year the were same old Yotes, and after what just happened in todays trading, they just passed away a lot of their goods. The players they got they have no money to keep. I read somewhere that the Yotes werent paying rent to the City of Glendale. This has to be the worst organization in sports. They have no money, their fans always get let down, they are about to go bottom up. Nashville was in a bad spot but whats worse is how Phoenix's trouble just sprung up. They have no future in the long run when they can't afford players. This is a huge failure by the owners, who love to double ticket prices for the Red Wings games to discourage Wings fans from attending, instead of selling out the arena. Their location is terrible, their marketing is terrible, and the NHL is doing squat to help them. Anyone who wants to buy them would move them for sure. They have no shot at winning in the foreseable future. Bottom line: this organization is a joke and the fans deserve better. Is there an orginzation that is worse in any professional sport that is stuck in this perpetual well of failure?

Calgary made some great moves. They have a great lineup and looked to at depth, they added the winningest player who hasn't been to the playoffs. Dont forget its till Igoonla and company up to their usual tricks. I think this might go down as a failure to gain depth and go somewhere in the playoffs. The Sharks made some moves but they have confidence issues. They can beat teams that are worse than them, but beating teams that are as good as them or better seems to be the issue. They made some moves, but we all know, and so do they, that rosters and stats that are good in the regular season don't mean squat in the playoffs. I think Calgary going down in the second round is a good call... maybe even for the Sharks too. I know it is hard to repeat but we have only added to the same depth we had last year. That is what will put us in the chase for a repeat, even if Osgood plays decent.

My happiness with how things turned out isnt really the question, its how did Ken do on his 18 holes today?

Phoenix Coyotes -- Worst organization in sports
RedLightGoesOn replied to RedLightGoesOn's topic in General
The chances that they can afford they players they got today is slim. They are bleeding money to my understanding. Coaching and GM asside, how can they support themselves without a change in venue? At least the Lions have a future. I will agree with the Pirates come to think of it, god they are terrible. It just sucks to see hockey failing. If the franchise wants a future they have to get a new buyer who has the money to spend to get these guys going in the right direction again. Its one thing to have a terrible record, its another to have a franchise going under. -
J-Bouw wont come here. I think Kenny took the day off like he said he would. I am sure he looked at some last minute deals to see if there was a small addition he could make, and is undoubtedly playing 18 holes right now.

Forsberg may steal Wings thunder with 'big announcement'
RedLightGoesOn replied to 40#1Fan's topic in General
He signs with the Wings for $1 to lock in the repeat. That is a thunder stealing move. -
Excellent Ozzie! Keep it up big guy we know you can do it!

Not every game is a winner... Winning is half the battle, losing is the other half. This was garbage hockey, plain in simple. They might as well had a group of high schoolers out there. But I have to agree with Babs. This time of year is a great time to get humiliated. It gets people going and reminds them what will be on in line in a month and a half. If the Wings are going to have some struggles, please let it be now so things can be straightened out and maybe the Wings can get working as a whole team and fire on all cylinders when the playoffs roll around. On a side note, thank goodness the Sharks lost to keep us in close with them.

You're an idiot.... in the loving Greg House way.
-
I payed up the $80 for game center. Its good. The stream depends on your connection. Mine isnt the best and the stream is decent. I love watching my Wings again.
-
Osgood was the best player of the game. The rest of them did not play that well. Play in the defensive end was sloppy, and resulted in that goal (Osgood did eveyrthing he could, blame it on the 5 in front of him). Whatever was up with the Wings tonight, I sure hope it stayed at the Joe after they left to go home.
-
Im not sure about getting a goalie. The main issue is cap space. Which means we would have to get a rental player, and rental players just arent worth the cost. Look at what Pittsburgh gave up for Hossa and Nashville for Forsberg. We wouldnt be able to keep him. Some conditions draft picks would be the best option but we would more than likely lose those picks. Honestly, who could we get that is a sure thing for a nice price? For better or for worse I think we are sticking with our goaltenders. Kenny might work some magic for a goaltender but how much would that cost us in other areas? We still have depth in our lines which is nice, and hopefully Osgood will step it up. I think his break should have been longer to retool and have Howard get more NHL time. Come next season he is our future or he is gone.

I hate all of the Flames and the Ducks, or the Goon Squads as I like to call them. I hope that they just decide one day not to play because they would bring the level of hockey down. And Rick Nash, I hate him too because last year he caused a great deal of suffering to my friend who is a Coyotes fan.
