I think being 0-2, the Avs are in a worse spot than the Preds were when the series shifted 2 games in Nashville. Sure Forsberg is a great player, and even if he played his best, that wouldnt be enough to win a game. Right now nothing is working for them. They need to patch up their goalie situation, their defense, and offense. Basically they need to solve everything. Right now the Wings have momentum, they smell the blood in the water, and they want the kill. This series could be over in 4 if they dont come up with something by Tuesday. Once you go down 0-3 in a series, you are there for a reason, and are basically done. Everyone has been saying Detroit hasnt been playing good and doesnt look like a Cup contender. What they have shown in these two game is just the exact opposite.

Let me say Kudos for Dallas. Turco has been great, and after tonight they know how to solve Nabby. Im picking the Stars to finish this one in 6, at home. Rangers have one weakness -- netural zone transition, namely speed. Last year they lost to the Sabres, who had blazing transition speed which was too much for them. Fast transition lets the Penguins set up in the zone, be able to cycle the puck well and control it behind the net. Something tells me this series will be ugly before its over. If the Penguins can show up and get their game going, the Rangers will lose this series (even if they play their game plan too). I thought Fluerry was going to get pulled to help change momentum, but it seems that the Pens stepped up and pulled through for him. Pens in 5.

I dont think Fischer will return, and I wouldnt think less of him no matter what. Last I heard he wants to promote defibrillators at sports events, some charity work for some heart research, promote awareness, etc.

Anything is possible, while I am biased and want the Wings to win, I still give the Avs credit, Wings in 5 or 6.

This is usual. People will discredit the Wings, say everyone is better than us. But what happens if we win the Cup? 2 Seconds after Lids hoists it up, Pierre and Doc will bow down and begin the long ass-kissing statements for 30 minutes or so, and say the Wings were the best and nobody had a chance. Even if we don't win this year, they will still do it to whoever wins. I kinda like the fact that we win games not by skill, but by luck. So when the announcers credit us with skill, it will be 18-0 games.

So let me say Ovie has done an amazing job in Washington, and has pulled through for them when they needed him to deliver. That being said, I hoped they'd beat the Flyers, and in the middle of the series I started to root for Ovie, let me say I like this guy better than Crosby. What really got me was after the Caps lost game 7.... while the crowd was cheering and booing.... No. 8 went out on the ice and applauded the crowd. Let me say thats all class and that Ovie has earned my respect and my cheers from now on because of that. I know some players may do it, but I have never seen it televised recently. Let me say, thanks for being that awesome of a player Alex, and I hope you hoist the Cup over your head one day. Anyone else feel the same?

No. Z has developed over the past years to fit right into the Detroit organization, especially after Yzerman's retirement, I want Z to be the man to fill Yzerman's very large shoes and lead this team to many championships (hopefully). Trading Lids is nuts, espescially if it weren't for Pronger or Nieds... they only two defense men who are his caliber skill wise (I still dont know why the other two play dirty when they have the skill). Ovie is good, and so is Green, they stepped up and made a lot of things possible this year for the Caps when people had written them off. Bottom line, no trade, it doesnt make sense.

Babcock is a great coach.... our losees so far can't be solely his fault. He is smart, classy, and is good at his job. He knows this team, knows how to win, and I like the fact that he will stay with us for some more time, definetly the right man to take us past the post-Bowman era.

Melrose rooting against us means good news for us...

Avs are playing good... I dont expect it to be a steamrole. Its my view that coaching is the key to this series moreso than it was against the Preds. If Babcock can get the matchups he wants and have them be efffective (ie out-coaching the Avs) I think we will be good. Theodore has been playing better than several previous years, but even the Wild's struggling offense put somme pucks past him, which is good for us. While defense is important, a strong offense will put the Avs into a stall and is the second key to winning this series. Wings in 6.

Caps need to keep momentum on their side. And Philly's second goal is such BS.. where was the interference call?

Selanne was the difference maker and the reason why they came out of the west. Sure Nieds is one of the best, and him an Pronger are a killer team, it still doesnt change the fact that the Ducks shot up in wins when Selanne returned.

well, I might have been for Clagary, but now Im for the Avs... what would be good for us is for San Jose and Dallas to kill each other, and then its easy pickings for the Wings in the conference finals.

I honestly think I can analyze hockey better. For example, one reason why the Dallas Stars won their series against the Ducks, was because of Turco being the third defensemen, by coming out of the net and play the puck bad to the neutral zone, which effectively shut down a lot of Anaheim's dump and chase tactic, where they would use physical play to gain puck control and then make a play. Thats why they stole game 1 and 2 from the Ducks, Turco made good saves, but also help shut down some chances for the Ducks. The man is freaking stupid. Just look at what I said above, even Barry Melrose would say something like that (he might have I dont know). The point is, he is trying to make it big time, and this bulls*** NHL on NBC is crap, where is Bill Clement? I say Him and Gary Thorne were the best, sure everyone says stupid things, but when s*** goes down, Gary Thorne was the man.
