The mere fact of beating them this bad in their own building after their OT winner in Detroit is a great momentum shift. I know the Ducks will battle hard in game 4 to tie the series, but we still have a 5-0 shutoiut, and our guys had no problem dealing with it. This makes me believe we can steal game 4 (maybe) and then with the 3-1 edge go back to Detroit for game 5 and finish them there.... usually when teams have these kinds of meltdowns its either that they will come and play hard, or, that there is an impending doom that is waitng for them in just 2 more games. I thought every game in the series would be close, I was wrong... lets hope that the Wings can build off this and put the Ducks away in 5.

WOOT LETS GO BUFFALO!!!!!!!!!!.... just a great reminder that a hockey game is 60 minutes, not 59 minutes and 54 seconds.
-
Attention cocky Ducks fans..... HAHAHAHAHAHA WE WIN YOU LOSE GET USED TO IT KTHANKSBYE! How does the humble pie taste? Will you guys now shut up and stop being cocky? Where is Jimmy Hoffa burried? All these question will be answered in game 2!
-
How is this new? Since when have the Wings been actually called to win the Cup until the night of? Whatever, let these people talk, they will look like fools.
-
Pretty funny... but if they did move to Nashville I would have to become a Flames fan.

He is a good goaltender, just because his pads are two inches bigger than Brodeur's does not make it illegal, now if it were about a foot bigger, yeah, but then it would be pretty obvious. He got to 2003 SCF because he was on a hot streak, like Roloson and Kipper. Sorry, but this kinda crap is a tad bit childish.

Just looking through the ESPN articles, Burnside's prediction for the West http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/playoffs2007...&id=2863456 Here is the quote: "Sharks in seven. Oh, wait -- we used that one last round. Seriously, the way the Wings have played in the past three games makes believers of us. Detroit in seven." Finally we have a believer and some respect. Discuss.

Ok, first off my roomate is a Sabres fan, and he's talking how Buffalo will murder them like they did last season. While I don't think Buffalo will win that easily, I do think this might be a great 6 or 7 game series (which I predict Buffalo to win). After watching the Sabres and Sens play in the playoffs it looks like the Clash of the Titans in the east. Ottawa is looking better than last year, and Ray Emery has recorded his first and only 2 playoff shutouts this postseason, and they have 4 great lines that do more than skate around the ice like a retarded duck. I was impressed how they handled the Pens and Devils. On the other hand, Buffalo has looked picture perfect. Despite being outplayed several games in their first two series, they manage to scrape a win. This year they don't just have the skill and the speed, they have the confidence to go to Cup finals. Miller has been great (and is shaping up to be a future Dom based on some of the incredible saves only Dom could make) and hopefully after beating the Rangers, will be on his prime game. I would like to add that the Rangers team they went up against was tough, somewhat fast, and very deadly defensively and offensively. Even though the Rangers outplayed the Sabres, the Sabres' amazing neutral zone speed into the offensive zone has proved to be too much. I think that this will might be one of the best series in the playoffs this year. What do you guys think of this series and who will come out battle-hardened ready to play for the Cup?
-
LOL, that what I said when lost to the edmonton oilers LOL (we did too, but you guys lost to the 8th seed in the WCF, FOR SHAME!)
-
These California fans just don't seem to get it: Wings in 6. No offense but Calgary is much more Physical than the Ducks, hell, even the Sharks are slightly more physical than the Ducks. Oh, you guys haven't met the Pain Train or Big Bert have you? The "we will win with physical play" has not worked so far in the playoffs, why would it start working now? BTW Its, L2P Noob
-
He can't call hockey, much less coach it (hence Detroit turned him down a coaching position several years age, which is why he hates the wings).
-
LOL, apparently you do not realize that your precious ducks will go, again, as far as the WCF. The Ducks have not had a challenge so far, and I think they are too unprepared and overconfident when they face the Red Wave. Get ready to lose.... to ROBERT LANG NO LESS!

Thats a real ***** that he broke his wrist... on the other hand (no pun intended), at least he won't be giving us penalties which the Sharks might use to their advantage... such as hooking.
-
Sometimes I don't like Burnside... sometimes he writes about something which actually happens opposite of what he said, and then he comes and sucks up to the winner. Almost everyone at ESPN picked Sharks over Wings, but the Wings had a huge rally and blewout San Jose 4-1, and for the first time in this series have a 3-2 game lead. The momentum is with Detroit now, and I expect them to pull a W in the Tank monday night.
-
Nabby's stick side, Shark turnovers, and the best thing that San Jose does in the playoffs... CHOKE! And smooth move by throwing a dead version of your maskot onto the ice, and having your fans kiss the Cup. You need to teach them how to behave if they want a Cup in San Jose. ... edit: Also the Sharks don't keep up their lead, they score two and sit back and starting skating lazily at some times.... How does it feel to have a team full of Robert Langs?
-
Unless, of course, they play San Jose. Someone said it best, Anahiem will ussually beat SJ because they play the same as San Jose, except better. I predict the Wings will win the SJ series and fight it out and win in 7 against the ducks. Oh, Dom > Nabby, thats why.
-
So someone is a closet Rangers fan eh?
-
What two teams would you like to see in the finals?
RedLightGoesOn replied to BeeRYCE's topic in General
I know Detroit vs NYR would be awesome, but I would love Detroit vs Buffalo, just because it will be great, and that if there is any year that the Sabres have a chance to win its this year. I hope the Sabres win just about the same as Detroit, they have played like they want it badly. -
Can we include when he says "Big Joe Thorton"? I mean, if we want to get drunk we better not half-ass it.
-
How about every single Red Wing? It would be nice to see Bert, Dats, or Hank, but I would love Cleary to be super hot.
-
I believe he's got most assists (10 or so), and thats a lot, but I agree that it would be nice to see our top guys score, but I like it even more when Lang scores, makes up for that lazy skating.
-
Have no fear... one dimensional teams dont win championships. The Sharks can't beat them, but the Wings could, however the Wings have to beat the Sharks first, of course.
-
Well after this win, I hope the Wings get the momentum of this series on their side and have a blowout in Detroit and then finishing the job in San Jose in game 6
