Wait, wait, who was that Henrik Zetterberg guy? Too bad we ruined his career by not spending time in Grand Rapids. Why would they put Zetterberg with Hossa? If anything they will probably put Dats with Hossa because Pavel is more of a set up man, where as Zetterberg is a goal scorer. -

I agree. Also, Holland said on the radio, that he would try to get the guys to buy into the team concept and try to keep it together.

Your basing your estimates of potential. I love Val. I think he is going to be a great player. But do I think he is worth 3-3.5 right now? Absolutely not.

I tend to agree with most of your rankings except for Chicago at #5 for D. Sure they signed Campbell but IMO, he's not that great of a defensive defensemen.

Gonchar may be top 10 offensive defensemen in the league. He, however, is unreliable defensivly. Sydor is on the downfall, he was scratched up until the finals. The problem with them adding Bouwmeester is how do they aquire him? What pieces do they have to move? -
There is no way Kenny will pay 3 million dollars to Filppula. We are not in that much trouble at all. We will be fine.

He will do what's best for him. To expect him to sign for a 1 year deal at 5 million is ridiculous. I'm sure he wants long-term security. I'm sure he wants money. I'm sure he wants a cup. Two of those three can be guarenteed. Can you guess which ones? -

According to TSN's NHL Free Agent Frenzy: Yes. They said we are one of four teams and they expect him to sign soon. They also said the Wings were in the running for Hossa. I don't know if I believe the story. -

Yeah, I know. Sorry I didn't make that very clear. My point was, thats too much to give up, for a guy who you can get just by signing him to a contract, rather than trading him.
