I read on spectors that Malkin would be seeking 10-11 million when his contract is up. I don't think the pens can afford that with all their other high paid players.

The teams in bold made the playoffs. By the looks of the playoff teams, the divisons look fairly even. But, when I look at the teams, the Patrick and Smyth divisions are alot tougher than the Norris and MUCH tougher than the Adams.

1. How many times do I have to say this, we have plenty of room for the 2008-2009 season. Zetterberg and Franzen are both locked up for cheap 2. He played on a very bad Maple Leafs team. 3. Mats Sundin is Sweedish. 4.&5. I would imagine you were against the signing of Dallas Drake. How did that turn out? You'll have to give better reasons than that. -

Kronwall Had a great playoff and he will continue to improve, but he gives the puck away to much for me. I would not call him a great defensive player yet! -

Exactly, everyone is calling for a guy to replace Drake, Sundin would be awesome. I've heard names like Owen Nolan. As long as it's a one year deal, why not get Sundin?

As far as the expansion, I love it. I also like the merging of the teams. However, I don't think the Capitals should be merged. The only problem is, there really isn't another team that would make as much sense to terminate. I mean Atlanta is the team most people would want gone, but by your terms no teams from the last set of expansion teams.

If the cap goes up to 55 million, then yes close to 10 million. Roughly, it's more like 9.3 or something. But Kenny will be looking to re-sign Stuart, and Flip obviously. Than possibly D-Mac or Downey. Cheli is probably coming back. Lilja is a UFA. As well as Hartigan, and Drake if he doesn't retire.

You do know the cap is projected to go up to 55 million? Right? And you do know Zetterberg is locked up next season for a cap hit of 2.65 Million? Right We have plenty of room for a one year deal with Sundin.

My only point was how close they were. I thought about that to begin with but then I looked at a map, Hamilton is more west than Toronto. In fact, I think Atlanta might be more west than even Detroit. Edit: Spelling
