Who would you rather face in the 1st Round?

He's saying one of them will. If they both go down Detroit would be the top seed and play the 8. -

Although I'd rather play Nashville because of the travel, playing Phoenix would mean there is still a chance Chicago would have to play San Jose. -
Now that you mention that, last year I do think the NHL had one of the series start late. But a number of things I think will prevent the league from starting Detroit later than the rest (i.e. being the most eastern based team in the West with the travel, the Wings are a bigger draw than most.)

Game 1 will either be on Wednesday or Thursday. Meaning game 2 will be played either Friday or Saturday. Unfortunatly we won't know until Sunday evening.
-
Janik will probably also be called up but other than that you probably have the list. As far as goalies, Pearce and Mcollum will both probably be called up.

I did not make this video but I found it appropriate for this thread.

That was Pat Foley, Blackhawks guy. I thought he was terrible.
-
With the goalie interference non-call last night, I thought I would give a reminder of the bogus goalie interference calls we've had in the past. Unfortunatly my program wouldn't allow sepia tone.

Mike Smith will be the backup. He's on re-entry waivers today. -

I'm not sure why the Penguins would be trying to "unload" Goligoski, moving him was more out of the need to get a scoring winger. -

Dallas sends James Neal and Matt Niskanen to Pittsburgh for Alex Goligoski. -
If claimed his cap hit would be $2.7 million. I still don't think anyone will claim him.
-
While St. Louis may have got the better of the deal right now, I think Colorado got the player with the most upside. And yes I realize Stewart is only 23.
-
Maybe I'm over valuing Johnson as a former #1 overall pick, but I don't like this move for St. Louis.

TSN.ca And Bob McKenzie: Also:
-
Bob McKenzie reports: A bit steep for a third line center who has a career high of 38 points (2006-2007) and has been a minus player the past 4 years, including this one.
-
The inflation of trading picks for players this season is mind blowing.

The Dreger Report from this morning:
-
A 1st and a 3rd for Versteeg is overpayment. Philly didn't want to give up a roster player.
-
Ideally I'd like Chris Phillips. Solid defensive defenseman which, in my opinion, is our biggest need. Although, goaltending is a close second, but I don't know if there is a feasible goalie to be had at the deadline that's an upgrade over Howard.
-
I agree, a 2nd for Martinek is a stretch... Somebody will probably get desperate and ante up at the deadline though.

Per Bob McKenzie:

Nabokov claimed by NYI, refuses to report, suspended

The only team we will definitively know that put in a claim for Nabokov will be the team he's rewarded to. Won't know anything, more than likely, until noon tomorrow. -

At this point, I'm not sure what to believe. I thought I knew how the waiver process worked yesterday at this time. Today... Not so much.
