Down the stretch the older guys wont produce and will show wear and tear, the kids will save the team again towards the middle, end of year and everyone will be happy. Thats ken hollands plan it seems. If these kids dont have a good start to the ahl season, then, maybe it was a good decision to send em down and keep em there.

Jensen stood out the most. Power play look real good. Oulette and mrazek are nhl ready. Callahan was unimpressive to me. Alot of running around, but he is feisty. Reminds me of abdelkader. Excited to have a healthy weiss on third line center. Dont break up sheahan jurco tatar line. Overall really good game.

The years of buy the team to win history has to be followed by hardships developing a team through draft. Sometimes we just gotta take life as it comes. Enjoy the hockey, respect the fact that the draftees helped get them to a 23rd consecutive playoff appearance. Us as fans have to accept that another dead wings era is inevitable. From another angle, look at the wings staff. The majority has had with, or moved on to a greater career. Detroit is the Harvard or yale of hockey minds. I have no doubt that the wings owner, gm, coach, and everyone else involed, are building another sport wide model team. Doing so without missing the playoffs, should say enough.

If the entire red wing fan base shared same views, it would be on us to protest. 0 people in attendance. Exactly what shouldve been dealt to the lions and tigers pre pudge Rodriguez. But we dont all share the same views. Video games, ego and fantasy sports have changed the enjoyment and lose yourself in the game mentality that used to be ever so present throughtout sports, into a "every fan thinks they know whats best for the team" attitude. If we did, we would be in control of the team. Im not denying that holland, babcock, detroits city and team culture, as well as our rich and externally hated legacy has major affect, it does, favorably. But, us as fans choose who we root for. We do not put the leaders in office. Its not a "democracy" . If you dont like it..... you know what im gonna say next. Im just as "insert emotion here" as the next guy. But if youre not into it, get out of it

I would be in favor to see one or both of tatar nyquist gone. They dont have the bodies for todays nhl. Playoffs proved this.

If they lose out on all the big names, i hope not for signing whats left for the sake of signing. Obviously theres no trades available so go with the kids. Its not the worst option.

Interesting, i feel bad for ken holland. Hes trying, but looks like all he can land at this point are guys like weiss alfie, cleary etc.. guys that are going coffin shopping, detroits at the top of the list. Luckily we have a good farm system
