Crosby may be a ******, but he's only a ****** because he plays for Pittsburgh. He's good, real good. I'll take him on my team any day. Fake or not fake, its a cool video. Just because Datsyuk isn't Reebok's poster boy doesn't mean you gotta hate on every Crosby video that comes out.

Zetterberg and Abdelkader will be centers. Helm and Datsyuk will be wingers. Draper is not going anywhere, Meech and Miller will be gone.

Good to see that Abdelkader has been taking boxing lessons all summer. Hopefully he pans out.

I remember when they drafted him...he was the second coming of Lidstrom. They were so high on him....kind of sucks to see Jim Nill saying everything he can't bring to the table, hopefully that will give him a bit of a boost.

That would be an awesome college, AHL, or foriegn hockey stadium. But For the Wings...no. Too many suites, not enough regular seating. The glass roof could cause a glare during day games, and lighting strikes on stormy nights would cause as a distraction. The Wings need a stadium that will always look full, and always sounds loud.

i hope they dont sign anyone. I think they just need to shake up the pairings. Raffi and Lidstrom should be a pairing only on the PP. Kronwall and Stuart are good, but Raffi and Lids should be split. Not because they arent good together...but Ericsson needs to be with someone who is reliable...because he isn't.

congrats man, i wish I could make it, never been. Its gonna be a good year, all our guys healthy, rested, and ready to go...seems a bit scary to imagine what this season could bring in terms of our guys firing on all cylinders at a consistent rate.

I would rather see Abdelkader get the opportunity. Eaves/Miller? which one doesnt play now?

If Modano is not signed, Maltby will....at least it seems this way. And if Modano isn't signed (which seems to be the way its turning out), then Abby will be the third center. Meech will likely be dealt. That leaves Helm and Eaves as the 4th line. Miller and Draper are the rotating guys and Ritola (yet to be signed?) will be the odd man out. Malts will be a good practice guy, and comes handy when someone gets injured. Modano would provide more of a problem then Maltby would. 500k vs 1-1.5 mil for Modano. I'll take Malts. True or not true, which I'm sure it is...I'll take Malts, probably his last year anyway.

Just had surgery, and he will know his place in the lineup. He knows the system and can still, along with Draper, keep a good morale in the locker room. I'm sure Malts would be hungrier then an old Modano who might come here and try to coast his way to a cup in front of his home town...he's got nothing else to prove. We know what we'lll get out of Maltby....with Modano, its up in the air.

Well, I think we'll still be a fantastic team once the grey beards retire. Lids, Draper, Ozzy, Bert, Raffi, Homer... Young guys like Abby, Helm, Tatar, Kindl, Brendan Smith, Mattias Ritola, Ferraro, McCollum....i think only one big name FA and a bunch of gritty role players would make for a pretty solid Red Wings team.
