lol yeah you are right. They are better off dumping him and adding some capable Defenseman or maybe a guy who doesn't have to have everything on his shoulders. Jagr feels like he his the team and so he has to carry them by scoring goals.... which he isn't doing. It is kinda sad watching him and Fedorov go downhill in their scoring after watching them dominate the NHL for so long. But I would love to see him here but im afraid they would want Filppula and possibly Lebda/draft picks to land him here in Hockeytown.

YES!!!! LETS LOSE FAITH IN OUR GOALIE AGAIN!!! Ozzie didn't play awful really he let in a soft goal but other than that, Atlanta was working hard and if you watched the game the bounces and breaks were going their way all night. I really thought we were going to get shutout at home lol. PLus, Atlanta is not a bad team. Evere since they fired good ol Avs coach they have been playing awesome, disciplined hockey. They play hard and smart, something Detroit did not do enough of last night as a TEAM!!!! You can't win them all, and I think this will lose was acually good for the team. It serves as a wake up call.

I never mentioned that Hasek was lazy, I was referring to OSGOOD'S WORK ETHIC. I know that Hasek trains his ass off all the time but still, you can not DENY that Osgood looks alot sharper than Hasek has so far throughout this season. Osgood wanted to prove he could be a #1 goalie again and has. Hasek works just as hard if not harder than Osgood, which is why he won a NHL MVP award back in 96 and has won several Vezina trophies... but for some reason it has just not been his best year, and he would be the one to say so himself. Yes, Dom is the same player that had a bad start and if you remember back in '02 Hasek stood on his head after going down 0-2 games to a underachieving, youthful Vancouver team. I believed in Dom back then more than I believe in him now due to his sloppy start, granted he has had 2 shutout's in a row but his team played unbelievable in both of those games to help him out. But granted, he is an amazing athlete and I would much rather have him in our net than ED BELFOUR. I know Hasek has regained his old form(or some streak of luck) but I would much rather see Ozzie in net for the playoffs than Hasek ever since I watched the Wings lose to the Ducks last year. I hope they both finish the year strong, solid, and ready to play at the elite level of goal tending that has won them both STANLEY CUPS!!! No matter what I am a Red Wings fan, it is only natural to voice my opinion about who I thinks should be the starting goalie for our team, just like all of you have these hockey boards to message your opinions on whether or not any of you want to bash Sammy or be Lilja crushers. All in all..... LETS GO RED WINGS!!!!

AND? His GAA really doesn't mean anything about his play, it means that his defense and his forwards have bailed him out more now cause they know he is old and has lost a step. He is so much slower now then he was when he won the cup in 2002. Look at his Save % and then say hes a awesome goalie. Ozzie has outplayed and out shined Hasek, and it shows in his work ethic and his awesome sick goaltending. Stop defending Dom, he is still the same player that had a horrible start, if not for Osgood picking up his play then Wings would not be the #1 team in the NHL.

Saw the highlights of the game on NHL network. 2 penalty shots called in the same game? let alone the same team getting lucky to be awarded with 2. I was glad to see our PP do well without Holmstrom in front of the net. Oh and it is nice to see Rafalski shooting and scoring on the PP unit. I am also happy to see how well the Wings have played the past 9 games, especially since Draper, Maltby, and now Holmstrom have been injured but it seems as if we haven't missed a beat without them in the lineup. BRAVO! Keep the points coming!!!! AND GO OZZIE BABY!! YOU GOT THE HEART OF A LION!!!!
