Yes I would love to see what FEDEROV can do... He better be better than that FEDOROV guy that played here at one time.... Anyways... We need just one guy and one guy only to sign with us now and the only real choice I see is signing Markov. Lebda is fast enough to play on the 4th line and be the extra D-man when someone is hurt/suspended(Kronwall). I would love to see Forsberg in Hockeytown but he wont be back for a while.... but I betcha that ole Kenny Holland will be in close talks with his agent from now till at least the trade deadline. It will be very interesting to see what unfolds in the coming weeks.

Let us discuss about other teams who have relocated to different cities and why they had to move. Not only NHL teams but other leagues like NBA, NFL, and MLB. If I left out any teams please feel free to list them an ddiscuss them. MLB- Brooklyn Dodgers moved to LA on the 50's, I never understood this but it worked out for LA and now the Bronx cheers for the Yanks. NBA- Vancouver Grizzlies moved to Memphis. Why? Becasue they had very poor success in Vancouver due to piss poor management and a terrible fan base, because Basketball is not a Tier1 sport in Canada. NFL- Houston Oilers moved to Memphis and then to Nashville to become the Titans. I did not understand this move at all, but the only thing I did understand was that Bud Adams is a old, greedy bastard. How could he take away a NFL team in a huge city like Houston, with a great fan base in Football? GREED. I lived in Houston when this move happened and everyone in the city went nuts and protested for years untill they finally got the Houston Texans(who suck just as bad as the Oilers ahahah ). Cleveland Browns to the city of Baltimore to become the Ravens. Pretty much the same reason why the Oilers moved to Nashville. Oh and Oakland or LA Raiders? They are from California so they dont count.... NHL- Quebec? The Jets? and Colorado to New Jersey. Please discuss these moves I do not know much about them.

I can certaintly see why the Red Wings are "America's team". Not only for the success they have had the past 20 years, but people know the team, and the players, even if they dont know the sport. Take for instance the area where I live in Alabama. I live in a town where the only thing people care about is FOOTBALL, but for some reason I have seen Detroit Red Wings jerseys everywhere around where I live. It is amazing... from McCarty to Fedorov to Hasek to Yzerman... I have seen them all around where I live at. The only other jerseys I have seen around here are a few Yankee uniforms, Alabama Crimson Tide or Auburn Tiger football jerseys(very big deal in my state), and of course Titan or Cowboy jerseys. But for a very small city like Florence, Alabama to have people walking around in the summer no less, with a Detroit Red Wings jersey on is either out of insanity or just out of PRIDE. I am proud to wear my Yzerman jersey, and I love to hear people try to pronounce his name when I walk by ahhahaha.

I enjoy to watch the Boston Bruins. Don't know why but I have a soft spot for them. I also like the Rangers, Sharks, and Maple Leafs.

I think we will hear in a couple days the signing of Alexi Yashin. What team will he sign with? Who knows! My bet is Detroit though.

Whats next? Next we sign Peter Forsberg to a 1 year deal at around 3-3.5 mill with incenitivies in case he does not play more than half the games for the guys. All we need him for is the playoffs! If we got him in our lineup in April... Detroit will be awesome. IF we can not sign him I think we are getting Yashin. He wont have the pressure of being the #1 guy who contributes with Detroit like he did with the NYI. Plus Datsyuk would have another Russian buddy to talk to!!!
