No. Schneider never won a cup with/for us, and how many years has he played with us? 3? I don't care if he leaves or goes. If he wants his money then let him have it.

We have a couple of options here in signing guys. 1) Try to come to terms with Schneider or Markov and keep one. Sign Hasek and Big Bert. Spend the rest of the money saved from the new cap, Lang, Fischer, and Markov/Schneider contracts and sign some second line guys like Paul Kariya, Kozlov who are snipers and are what we need from my eyes of watching Red Wings hockey the past year. 2) Lose both Markov and Schneider. Sign Hasek, Bertuzzi, and get a D'man. I would love to see Rafalski in Detroit, but I don't see that happening. Kronwall is going to be playing big minutes next year, lets hope he doesn't get hurt or screws up and pulls a Lilja. Holland will sign a Greg Johnson type player to fill in the 2nd line who will not produce big numbers. Holland is just looking for a fill-in, role type winger or 2 for our team and a replaceable D'man. Let's be real here guys. We all know who Ken Holland is and we all know who he thinks is the future of Red Wings hockey. He already signed Datsyuk, and Kronwall. He is waiting to sign Z next year to a long term contract and he can not do that with a full cap. Holland won't sign anybody unless they agree to terms with money/contract he is willing to sign them for. He in all likely hood, will wait till the trade dealine this year to do anything to help this team out next year. Forget about Ryan Smyth and big name players like that. Holland wont touch them. Our best bet is to hope Bertuzzi can still be a dominant force and Someone steps it up a notch on D. Say goodbye to Schneider and Markov, we just saw them play their last game as a Detroit Red Wing a month ago.

Man... Nashville is going to suck so bad!!!!!!!!!! I can not wait to go see them get trashed by Detroit next year in a game at Nashville. I will have to buy like 10 tickets to bring my family to watch the beating... lol jk about that but man... Nashville is falling apart fast. Who is next to go? My money is Forsberg followed by Kariya. Good Job Nashville!!! You are letting your super elite cup contending team fall apart.

Well, this means that Nashville is going to tank. Watch them trade Kariya to Toronto or some team like that lol.

There are many to choose from, but I got to go with the center ice goal against Vancouver in the '02 playoffs that turned around that series and the playoff run to the cup.

If Yashin came to Detroit, it would help his play out alot I think. It would take all the pressure off his back like he had in NY. He wouldn't have to worry about anythnig except playing his position. I think he can turn his career around here in Detroit, if we can sign him for real cheap like a one year try-out then I am all for it.

He deserves to play every year till he dies... J/K but he can probably play till he is 50. Without a doubt he will remain a force and presence on our D. Here is to another great season out of the oldest current player in the NHL!

Yeah Anaheim took full advantage of the refs calls. Game 2 they allow the goal by Rob Niedermayer who pushed Hasek into the goal when the puck crossed the line, if not for that we would have been up 2-0. Game 5 we got screwd in the last minutes simple as that. The refs won that series not the Ducks. The only reason why we couldn't take advantage of our opportunities is because we only had 1 offensive D-man in Lidstrom and we really didn't have a pure goal scorer or a sniper to help out on the PP.

The one thing that makes me feel so disgusted and violated is watching Pronger skate with the cup. I hope the prick celebrates with it and falls down the stairs or something and tears his ACL again. I hate him but not as bad as I hate the new NHL and Gary Bettman. Knowing that the Detroit Red Wings got screwd out of the cup this year makes me so mad, the only way that can ease my pain is knowing that either Pronger or Bettman have something extremely bad happen to them. They can go to hell.

So since the Ducks beat the Wings they will lose in the finals just like in 2003, Pronger or no Pronger.

Bettman wants the Ducks to win the cup, he hopes that Disney can sell the NHL some of its magic if he lets them win it so the NHL can be as popular as the NFL.

Paul Kariya does not deserve to wear the winged wheel.
