Why the Red Wings could win 1. Red Wings D Nicklas Lidstrom will match up against the Joe Thornton line when possible, and Lidstrom has a knack for tying up scorers without getting penalties. 2. the Red Wings have answered most questions about their team. Pavel Datsyuk scored in the playoffs, Henrik Zetterberg has proven that he is healthy, and Hasek looks fresh. They matched the Calgary Flames hit for hit. 3. The Red Wings are getting scoring up and down the lineup, even from Robert Lang's second line, which had been struggling. 4. The Sharks' power play is 1-for-23 in the playoffs so far. 5. Lidstrom is hot with 2 goals and 6 assists, and teammate Johan Franzen has two goals, three assists and a plus 7 rating. Take Detroit in 7.

I guess that the Sharks are just too fast for us and we are so slow and weak and old..... We should just hand them the series and let them play the Ducks in the next round since no one is giving us or the Canucks a chance in hell at beating either of the 2 teams. Actions speak louder than words, we will see which team sets the tone for Game 1, and whoever wins that game will win the series IMO. If you take a team lightly, it will only lead to your own demise.

Glad to have you on the boards Shark fans. The Sharks are actually my 2nd favorite team and they are my girlfriend's favorite team. So if the Red Wings lose this series I will hear it everyday untill next year. Lets go Wings!!!!!!!!

Shoulda, woulda, coulda.... doesn't matter anymore we lost the game. Lidstrom is such a great player but he had a bad game, everyone who has ever played hockey has a bad game. Lidstrom is so good that you hardly ever notice what he does (unless he scores a goal or something) untill he makes a mistake. Everyone knows that 99 times out of 100 he intercepts that pass but he didn't, that and his attempt to clear the puck on the PK on the 2nd goal is all I blame him for. I blame the 3rd goal on Hasek, he seemed like he was deep in his net when he should of came out of his net to cut down the ange on Igilnas shot. I am confident that Hasek and the boys will rebound from this and win Game 4. edited for typos

San Jose has got them outplayed IMO, Sharks in 5.

I am confident our Defense will only allow 25 shots or less. We need Zetterberg to step up big in this game, if he can get a goal or 2 by kipper and add a assist then we will win this game easy IMO.
