Because Modano was defending his teammate after his teammate was trying to defend him. Robidas tried to defend Modano but instead of paying Tootoo back he gets cheapshoted, as everyone in the world knows by now. I dont know about you guys, but I would be pretty pissed too if a guy who just stuck up for me gets taken out by a cheapshot. Tthe only way he could get Tootoos attention was with his stick because that is the only way Tootoo can understand or comprehend anything, which is by using physical blunt force/means. Come on Legionnaire, you really think that Modano was going to use his stick as a weapon? You really expect the NHL to fine Modano for swinging his stick at Tootoo? You can not even compare what Chris Simon did with his stick to what Modano did with his, that is like comparing Black to White. That weak ass swing would not even hurt a dog. Robidas got a penalty because he was charging after Tootoo, Modano didn't get anything because he wasn't attempting to injure, wasn't slashing, he was just getting the thug Tootoo's attention with his stick and tell him what he thought about his s***ty cheapshot.

Houston, Texas. Only because I lived there for 13 years. Would love to see a NHL team eventually bring home a cup to my birth city. Not only does Houston have a awesome arena, they have recently surpassed Chicago as the 3rd largest city in America. Plus there is something like 7 million people living in Houston. Would love to see NHL put a team there, but if they relocate Nashville there I would not support them at all.

I have been watching some of the Penguins games lately and I have been very impressed with them. They have 92 points so far and Sid the kid is just a superb athlete. They have a pretty solid team. Does anyone on here think that they have a chance at making it to the cup finals? I think they do, especially since they play in the east.

He is the biggest piece of crap ive seen in a long time. He is a little ***** IMO, and is a cheap shot artist. On top of all that I can not count how many times he charges. He leaves his feet all the time but the refs never call anything, why doesn't the NHL fine player slike him that attempt to injure another player. He tried to hit Schneider with a charge last night and I think it was Maltby that he tried to charge in the previous game we played against them at home, but he just ended up in the Red Wings bench. Plus he has the number 22 for his jersey, probably just for his last name, he is so KEWL!!! He is just a terrible hockey player

I mean these guys are usually ok and know hockey pretty well, but last night when I was watching the game they were calling Detroit players "dirty players" and "dirty hitters" and bulls*** like that. Who the hell is a "dirty player" on Detroit anyways? But when Arnott elbowed Lebda in the head they just said "Lebda is a short player and got elbowed in the head because Arnott is a tall guy", that doesn't excuse the piece of s*** for lifting his elbow and driving it into the head of Lebda like he did. And when Webber threw down Calder in his own zone after missing the check on him they just said something like "well if they dont call penalty's on Detroit then they shouldn't call them on us for that" which the Refs didnt call anything on it. All in all I guess they are TRYING to make it a rivalry, but it's Nashville...
