Lang is our best faceoff man now that Yzerman is gone, we dont need to get rid of the guy that will win a faceoff when it is needed and since we lost our best one this year trading Lang would be horrible unless we got a extremely good player for him. We will need Lang to win faceoffs in the playoffs. Hank is ok at taking them, and Datsyuk is 50-50 at them it seems. Draper is Draper..... Remember playoffs mean everything, regular season means nothing.

Lang is easily one of our top 4 players. Lidstrom, Hank, Datsyuk, and Lang. If we get rid of Lang we will lose some of our offense, especially since Shanny left and we havent got someone to replace him yet. Stupid trade IMO, we would suck even more in the playoffs. First things first, we need to get a goalie now before we trade anyone period.

I would love to see that, but I think good ole Holland is gonna sign Belfour. He has already offerd a contract to Belfour's agent so we gotta wait on his decision.

I say we just wait till the start of the season, we have waited this long why not wait longer? There is still Belfour, Hasek, Lindros, Carter, Nolan, Peca, Sykora, Allison, Markov, and Bondra. They are out there and we can sign most of them to one year deals. So why trade Kronwall? Trading Kronwall would be the worst mistake ever by the Wings, unless of course we somehow win the cup next year....... B)

According to http://insidethecode.blogspot.com/ The Wings have offerd Samsonov a three year deal and have also made one year deals to Lindros and Allison. Also it says the Habs are interested in getting Land via trade. I hope this is true.

Veteran winger Brendan Shanahan, who had 40 goals last season with the Red Wings, has narrowed down his options to two teams, Detroit and another unnamed team, a source said Friday. Boston and St. Louis are no longer in the running. Shanahan, 37, will mull it over this weekend and likely make a decision early next week. Winger Anson Carter is the second-most prolific scorer left among the unrestricted free agents. The 32-year-old Toronto native scored a career-high 33 goals for Vancouver last season while earning $1 million, a big-time bargain for the Canucks. There's been talk with Toronto, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh and Detroit. He'd be a nice fit playing right wing with either Sidney Crosby or Evgeni Malkin in Pittsburgh, as well as a much-needed boost to centre Mats Sundin in Toronto. I am sick of hearing of all the 'lets trade Lang' threads.

Every day now since July 1st I wake up and say: Hey, I wonder who the Wings have signed today. That is anything but true because this offseason is going downhill fast. I hope we sign somebody soon so I can feel good about next season. As for Shanny signing for $4million?!!?!? That would make me a sad panda. Also if we sign either Hasek/Belfour I will not watch any games next year because it will just be another early playoff exit. We need changes to happen, and so far nothing is happening.
