Thanks. I figured it was something like that. So I assume then they are hoping hes back in less than 3 weeks because by looking at the schedule 10 games is about 1 month.

I'm not sure I understand the logic in NOT putting him on LTIR. Are they thinking he could be back in couple weeks? Maybe someone here could explain the ramifications of putting a player on LTIR.

Not to mention theres so much more than just picking a player and having him be a superstar. He has to be in the right system,at the right time in his development to play an the NHL and in the right mindset. I can almost guarantee that if Zetterberg and Datsyuk were thrown into the NHL at 19 or 20 they would have failed and we would have never heard from them again.

How can you say Kopecky has done nothing? He Let Hossa live with him,they cant send him down until Hossa finds a place.

Everything I've seen is saying it will go up again. Early season ticket sales are up including huge gains in Edmonton and Chicago.

This has been mentioned on these boards many times but to my knowledge no one has a real definitive answer. He has at the very least taken the number out of circulation.

I could very easily be wrong on this and,as my wife points out,I'm wrong a lot but I'll throw it out there. I thought I had read that the NHL was going back to White at home and Dark on the road but it seems like i've seen more than a few preseason games where it was still the opposite. Any official info on this?

We're currently just under the cap due to excpetions on Chelios and Howards contracts because of their IR status. When they get back more decisions will likely have to be made.

My question is this: They pulled Quincey off the ice this morning because of the possibility of a trade. If he gets traded who gets called up? Leino or Ericsson?

I guess I'm ok with Maltby being here as long as it doesnt cost us Leino. If he goes home after a month in GR I'll be pissed.

Since 2000 the "Q" has won as many Memorial Cups as the OHL. It the most offensive minded of the 3 leagues but the leagues are so cyclical its hard to define who is the "worst".

Loyalty plus Babcock knows Maltby wont do anything that costs the team games. He will work hard and be where he is supposed to be on the ice. I'm not huge Maltby fan but I understand his role.

Celine Dion Phaneuf is the trendy pick for the Norris but in my mind he has to step up BIG time and Nick has to slip for it to happen. I dont see either happening this year.
