TSN reports Wings offer for Hossa is 7 years for about the same as Pavel.

I think Hossa would have to accept less than 6 to come here long term,dont see that happening but Bob Mackenzie is usually right.

I never said to not improve the team. I'm just sick of people saying we arent tough enough,we were tough enough to win the cup this and we will be tough enough next year. There a diffrence between being tough and fighting. We dont have many guys that can fight but we have plenty who are tough.

He might. Rafalski could have got more than a mil more per season last year and chose to come home. Maybe Rolston wants to come home and get away from the Wilds defensive system.

Wow this thread is intense! Rolston would be a great addition to this team for 3.5mil or less.He would play on the second line and probably man the point on the second PP unit. I dont see the bad and I'm not even a Rolston lover.

I have to admit a second line consisting of Brian Rolston,Val Filppula and Johan Franzen sounds pretty damn good.

Wellwood is still young and is a great skater. Its not like were so loaded with forward prospects that we shouldnt even look at him.

We also have to remember that Howard isnt just going to be given the back-up role. He's going to have to earn and from what I've read about Larsson the latter could very well end up taking the job.

I think his point was that its not as important in the new NHL to drop the gloves. Look at the final,Laraque and McCarty hardly played.
