Picture the Wings without Lidstrom for 12 weeks and Zetterberg for 8.That would suck pretty bad. I do think the Wings are better equipped to handle it than Colorado though.

I actually think it can. The Coyotes arent going anywhere and Morris makes only 3.9 mil per year,by the time the trade deadline rolls around that will easily be digested by the Wings. Rolston is UFA after this year and Minny will make sure they get something for him,plus he is only making 2.4 mil per year. The Wings have plenty of young talent to offer either of these teams.

Im not sure what you mean by "Brought him back to the NHL",but while hes in the minors I dont think any of his salary is counted against the cap. The move is purely financial as I see it.

TSN Ice Chips heres the link. I beleive the point was so they can send him to the minors and only be on the hook for half of his salary,but I could be wrong.

Am I hearing things or did the Colorado Altitude announcers just say that Patrick Roy "beat up" Mike Vernon? Convieniently they only showed video of the Osgood fight that Roy barely won. Tell me someone esle also heard this.

My vote goes to the Columbus guys. They literally shout "WOOOHOOO!!!" when the Jackets score and cry when the other team does,and dont even get me started about that damn cannon.....
