I just read an article about how the Wings are planning to split Datsyuk and Zetterberg again this season. Which seems like a good idea except for the fact that we dont have much scoring depth other than those two on the entire roster. I know all about Hudler and Grigorenko's potential and I am willing to give them a chance but how long do we wait before pulling trigger on a deal?

Well Im glad youre not worried,and I hope youre right. Hey are we assuming that Datsyuk will play with Grigorenko and Hank with Homer and the rest will be a hodge podge?

After going throught the first 5 pages of forum topics and not finding anything about scoring depth I decided to make one. It is a legitimate concern that I have as a fan,if you dont like dont read it or reply to it.

27 wow...the years fly by. I think a knee injury must have robbed him of some mobility then because he was very mobile as a junior.

Mathieu Biron was a great prospect not long ago and cant be more than 25. He must have injury issues or something ,I seem to recall a knee injury....

Does anyone have info on his contract?This could impact decisions the Wings make for next year.

Tretiak closed that loophole.

Tretiak also said that they were closing the loophole in the Russian labor law that allows players to leave their contracts with 2 weeks notice.So if Igor is under contract the only way the Wings can bring him over is by buying out his total contract.

Dom has allowed some questionable goals but at the sametime he hasnt allowed more than 2 goals in 7 straight games.I like our chances to win when that happens.

Kronwall and Lebda ARE offensive players who if given more powerplay time would put up more points however the point on Kronwall being injury prone is well taken.Players with a history of injuries tend to continue that trend ie. Martin Havlat,Eric Lindros. That being said we have invested a lot in Kronwall and may have to play him and hope.

I dont mind Vishnevski but I dont think hes more physical than Markov I would say they are pretty close to even in that department but Markov is a better skater. Also I like Markov's desire,Vishnevski was a healthy scratch for Nashville in the playoffs.

My guess would be Hudler in a suit an tie watching.

Watched Steve Yzerman play one Saturday night against Montreal.That was all it took.

Nothing would bring me more joy than seeing the Flames miss the playoffs.

It wasnt easy: Makarov:Anyone who saw him play in his prime would tell you he was the best player in the world at the time. Fetisov:Scott Stevens only with more offense. Stastny:2nd highest scoring rookie in history,started the European invasion.Also the second highest scoring playey in the 80's after Gretzky. My argument on Messier was that he played 25 years and always had a lot of surrounding talent,not to take anything away from him he was a great player.Hull was kind of one dimensional and Coffey was well known for being irresponsible defensively.All great players but the list is only 10.Also if someone held a gun to my head i would cut Stastny and add Roy.God I hate admitting that.
