Ozzie is known for giving up soft goals and being unable to put a Solid Full Season together. That said, this is the worst type of goalie you'd want in the playoffs. He could put a solid string of games together, for instance, like what Cam Ward did with Carolina and what he did when we won the cup with him, but overall he would not be my choice as starter during regular season or playoffs. Hence, he'd better not be our starting goalie next year, otherwise you will once again see his inability to put a Full Solid Season together.

Osgood can hold it together in the regular season up to a certain extent, but like we've seen in the past it takes a different type of goalie in the playoffs. My point is with Osgood as #1 starter, we're out first or second round tops. Period. I would be shocked to see him as the starter next year. If we thought he was good enough this year, we wouldn't have gotten Hasek. Enough said.

Toronto and Detroit is the best rivalry, but unfortunately it's dissipated as well given the lack of games between the two. Hopefully when Detroit moves to the East it will resume.

As long as Dom is back for the postseason and Osgood isn't starting in the playoffs I'm happy. I'd rather put Bertuzzi in net, bad back and all! lol If Dom is out in the playoffs, once Ozzie bombs, maybe Howard can pull a Cam Ward for his playoff debut. As long as he doesn't pull a Ward regular season the following year though, haha.

Osgood? Are you people high, he's no better then a backup for the Wings. If your the Blues, then maybe he'll do, but not the wings. I could see him and Howard starting the year, but for the playoffs I'd rather have Joseph then Osgood. lol Hasek will be back for one more barring injury if he does well in the playoffs. If not, I'd like to see both Hasek and Osgood gone with wings exploring other options for a Starter and Howard as backup.

I'd rather have Bertuzzi then give up so much for a guy who's a free agent in a couple months. Bad trade for Islanders since they don't stand chance in playoffs even with him and for the fact Smyth would never stay in NY. He'll re-sign with Edmonton next year, lol.
