    Here are the other games I play. I will be picking up NHL 10 and playing that a lot. Feel free to add, hopefully we can get a strong 2010 group going.

    pretty sweet house....but whats up with the crescent moon pool? I would have a monster of a pool

    I was thinking the same thing, lol. But that house is AMAZING!!! Good for them, looks like they had a great time, that's what it's all about eh???

    Back in January I picked the first week of June as one of my vacation weeks (I work nights and would usually miss most of the 3rd and any OT). I lucked into that working out perfectly last year so I tried to match it up again. I was on pins and needles for a while when there was a chance the Final wouldn't start until the 5th. Then the second the schedule came out I requested Tuesday off so I wouldn't miss a potential game 6 (I work Sunday through Thursday so a Friday game is good anyway).

    With careful planning and a little bit of luck you don't have to miss a game!

    I hear ya. I planned my vacation out for this week as well. I had to work during 2 games of the playoffs but other than that I've been lucky enough to be free for them all.

    not true. I just checked, 3 (1 columbus and 2 ducks) out of 9 goals are empty netters. How is that most part? Besides, sealing the game away is also important, i just dont understand this issue. This is so exagerrated.

    Just goes to show you these idiots don't know what they are talking about and don't really bother to check stats before they write something. That's why you ALWAYS have to be aware of what is really going on because most of the country just takes this crap as truth and rolls with it.

    Burnside IS in fact a joke. I also hear he sleeps with donkeys...from some guy at the store but hey, it's as correct as anything he writes.

    I think the criticism comes from the fact he went public to state he coudln't get the game on tv. Sort of a back ended jab at the network and the NHL by saying "how can players staying in hotels during the finals not even get the game on tv?". Implying that these games should probably be high profile enough to rank nationwide coverage. (I.E. more than vs beams out) He can get the message out without saying "hey, vs sucks, and I'm sure a LOT more people can't watch either"

    Should have probably had these thoughts BEFORE you started the worst thread since last year's "The wings are tooo old and tired, young penguins WILL take the cup in 2008" thread. Most of your posts contradict this statement. We have been hearing crap like this since...96?!?! lol. Best of luck to your penguins. let's just hope 3 months after the series you are still around to talk "hockey" eh?? Let's face it, if the Wings and the Pens keep facing each other in the finals you can't lose them all right?!?!?

    No sense getting all upset. You can't beat the league. They want Detroit, its pretty obvious if you've watchted this entire series and the funny thing is, we knew it going in. Its tough to overcome a very good team that the league wants to advance.

    What is this D-Bags excuse for this then???!!!???

    Funny how many people we have complaining about ESPN, yet they're always visiting the site to tell us how disrespectful it is to hockey.

    Granted this is more of an observation based on a fan poll so I'm not berating this thread or anything. ESPN is practically as basketball station around this time of year.

    Yeah I never COMPLAINED about ESPN, just thought the poll results were funny. There are other outlets so I personally don't see why people get so worked up. Who cares how good their hockey coverage is.

    I actually have thought the bulls/celts series is really good, normally I hate the NBA but double and triple oT every game, blood, it's been good.

    I saw a poll at ESPN.com this morning. Here it is, with the choices for answers.

    "Which sporting event are you most excited for this weekend?"

    NBA Playoffs

    NHL Playoffs

    Now I didn't think the poll was "funny" until I saw the answers. There is a option now where you can answer the question, then see a map of the US and see how each state voted. Of the lower 48 here is how the country voted.

    (most popular answer for each state)

    45 states voted for the NBA Playoffs.

    1 state voted for the NHL Playoffs (Michigan, lol)

    1 state voted for the Kentucky Derby (Kentucky, lol)

    1 state was undecided between NHL and NBA (PA, rofl)

    No more BS about who really loves hockey. PA is obviously torn, Kentucky well...

    I still believe fighting should remain in the game. But a goon like Brashear gives nothing positive to the argument of keeping it in the game.

    Does anyone remember when Brashear went after Bogosian early in the season? Bogosian I think was just a 19 year old kid.

    2 reasons you are correct.

    1) That hit wasn't a fight. Blindside hits like that are just a joke, like him.

    2) Brashear being suspended means nothing. If your contribution to the team is "guy who can get suspended for cheap shots" then it probably says something about your skill, or lack of. This guy is a pathetic wash-out.

    The caps can BARELY contain the Rangers. They won't make it out of the next round. The gorilla had 40 more penalty minutes than anyone else on the team despite missing 19 games. Don't mistake his role on that squad as anything other than "large dumb person who is expendable" lol. Of course if they still have to beat the rangers again.

    Illitch loves the Wings, he does want a new building to put his crown in, seeing what he has done for this team and for the Tigers I would think everyone would trust he is smart enough and has enough passion about the organization to do it at the "RIGHT" time. It's not really a question of "WILL" it happen it's a question of "WHEN". He's not stupid, I'm sure he is working on something and the timing will be "right" for the situation. I'm also certain we will all be around to see it. What a day that will be because I'm sure it will be first class.
