Game's over now.

I think you must be confused. Wings fans love when bad things happen to Claude Lemieux.

Quincey agrees to two-year deal 500k per season
grsbmd replied to Greatness=PavelDatsyuk's topic in General
Quincey would have to clear waivers this year, so they're probably not going to try to send him to the minors. -
Seems to me like they might keep Meech over Quincey because of the fact that Meech can also play forward as well. If they're going to carry 8 defensemen, they can only carry one extra forward.

Who says the rule changes sped up the game? They look faster in 2002 than anything we'd see now.

Somehow, every time I go to Yost I end up next to the same loud talking guy who has no idea what he's talking about. He spends the whole game using his "Cellphone loud talking voice" to tell the guy right next to him every stupid thing (frequently pointless boring stories) that pops into his head. He also makes it a point to announce that he doesn't understand the rules of hockey and just goes for the atmosphere. But then still manages to complain about correct calls, like hand passes in the defensive zone and no-touch icing. But one night an LSSU fan started a fight with him, which was pretty entertaining.

It was probably the same way on LetsGoPistons.com (I don't know if that actually exists) when Ben Wallace went to Chicago. So, I wouldn't put it past Detroit fans to do the same thing.

There another different picture of him blowing a bubble with his reflective visor on. That one's probably the one you're thinking of, but I haven't been able to find it.

When Bettman came into the League, the NHL was bigger than the NBA. Since then, it's only gone downhill. The NHL is now a distant 4th among the major North American sports.

I looked at the invitees yesterday and Smith was the only Red Wing invited.
-
Do you disagree with that?

Teams keep signing players for way more than they're worth based on their potential and at some point, one of these contracts is going to come back and bite them. My money's on Rostislav Olesz in Florida.

I remember reading that just after listening to the song during the SCF. Apparently that curse has been broken, or never worked in the first place.
-
Brad Richards. Alexander Radulov or a healthy Steve Sullivan?
-
I might be wrong, but I thought the IIHF's threat was to suspend them from international tournaments. I don't think there's anything they can do to force Radulov to play in the NHL. That would be between the KHL and NHL.
-
Seriously, in terms of dumb rumors that are never going to happen, this is starting to border on Lecavalier to Montreal.
-
I'm glad to see the IIHF follow through on their threats.
-
Orr. Dan Ellis or Tomas Vokoun

Love the Drake

I know a lot of people aren't sold on Smith, but I think he's a quality starter, so it's a good deal for Tampa to solidify this position. If they don't sign some defensemen soon, Smith is going to be handling the puck more than any of their forwards.

Vernon. Bobby Hull or Stan Mikita?

Helm. Pavel Bure or Sergei Fedorov?
