Buffalo over Pittsburg, (In a miraculus 8-7 game 7 which strangely looks like an NBA game) Detroit over Vancouver Detroit plays D in the SCF and wins in 5. When Pittsburg picks up on the D end they will have their time.

Um, That would be at least Cleveland and Cincinatti, and I know for sure that neither of those cities give a flying hockey puck about the NHL. Ive lived in Cleveland for 13 years, and they are trying the third IHL/AHL team next winter.

the scissor kick was well executed

I sent this to my gf looking for brownie points, and she came back and said "we've been dating for 3.5 years and you still don't know that I have 15 letters in my last name?" yikes, now I have to buy flowers
-
Agreed, this should be a post in a GDT not an entire topic and i am ashamed to be a part of it

meh, it doesn't count because he has a million short names, my gf has 14 letters in her last name, now thats a long name

:skull: WARNING: DO NOT READ if you have a weak stomach, scared of blood, think that periods attract bears, or a decent human. They would have to be used to match the wings colors..... :puke:

If every team is a pushover we should be on top of the league by a large margin. They should be passionate because they are gatting a 6 or 7 figure paycheck. They should be passionate because the playoffs start soon. They should be passionate to please the fans because the fans pay their salaries. The reason I don't watch the NBA is because they don't try, college BB is much more intense and exciting. I hope hockey doesn't end up like that. I have always thought that the NHL has always been the best sport becaue they players payed less and played harder than any other pro sport. Hopefully they keep it like that. If it were a different situation, I don't think anyone would go to a concert or to a movie or play that the band/actors didn't bother to perform the the first 2/3 of the show. I know that if I "took a period off" any of my coaches would have me sitting for the rest of the game and skating for the next practice. Bring back fighting. Fighting = Intensity The wings will get a wake up call when Dats/Zet gets injured on a cheap shot and there is no one to stand up for them.

Just so I don't strain myself does someone want to give me a wake up call? the canidate has be able to handle profanity and verbal abuse...

Excluding 99 how many other players have their number retired in more than one city? The guy was a picture perfect hockey player, he was a skilled goalscorer, a leader, and he was no afraid to play physical. Dare I say that he is a better version of shanny?

To stay on topic, the Pens have played well, but they are not a complete team. Power rankings are all BS anyways. WE can worry about Power rankings when they determine whos name goes on the cup. I would welcome a Wings vs. Pens SCF

if you look at the lighting and amount of skatemarks on the ice, i don't think he is actually warming up for the game. Looks like a photo shoot to me. Interesting stick though.

I live in cleveland and i think there are as many Avs fans as there are pens, BJs, and Wings fans, and its disgusting. Most of them can't name a player on their team, or their anything resembling their record, but they will wear the shirt or whatever and then get offended by anything not pro-avs

I was torn between Lids and Zetterberger, watching lids all these years has been awesome, but i went with zetterberger because I cant wait to see what this kid can do for us in the future.

What the league needs is more time on Sportscenter, not just highlights but give Barry Melrose (sp?) or another hockey announcer 1-2 minutes to try to excite the sportscenter viewers about hockey and upcoming games. ESPN will not do this because it is against their best interest at this point, because they do not air the games. IF they did that I think it would really help the ratings. Not to mention it would break up the monotony of watching slam dunk after slam dunk :EDIT: and another thing, get the playoffs on NBC or a major network, we all know that the playoffs are the most exciting games and getting thos seen will be key for the league's growth. Sure as hell beats spring baseball.
