Get rid of Downey, pick up Laraque. Sign Hossa for about $.5 mil/year for 7 years. Resign Zburg for 7 years, Hudles, Filp. Spread out all of the rest of the good UFAs around the league so that there aren't any real threats to the Wings dominance. Bring back Shanny. Play Erickson. Lose Lilja. Oh, and Sundin stays in Toronto. ***Don't give me s*** about this scenario being impossible, I don't care***

I think it should come down to the Celtics and the Wings although I don't know a single thing about WCBB. no I'm glad he is gone, he was nothing but truble for the Red Wings. If he isn't good enough for the Ducks why should he be good enough for the wings? We have young talent we need to devolop, and players to sign next year. He would be getting in the way of both of those things.

We have seen that having goalie competition is good. I would lean towards Denin over Emry. Denin being with Columbus and Tampa Bay I would guess he is pretty shell shocked and wouldn't know how to deal with less than 40 shots per game.

Its killing me to see Lilja play and Erickson in GR. I have a bad feeling that Erickson might be on the one to get traded. Drake NEEDS to retire. DMac in GR, unless this summer he gets some speed back. If he does, I think he brings a better all around game than Downey. I think that Maltby and Lidstrom will take pay cuts (mostly for the good of the team). If Holstrom has injury issues again, he will take a pay cut too. If not, then he will sign for about the same. Lebda will sign for about the same, and Huds and Z will get their payday. I think this season will determine if Franzen gets a big pay day, or just a slight raise.
