i agree on gelinas, don't think we need any more defense. i know osgod will disagree but let's focus on a top 6 forward, sign hasek, and take the rest of the money to the trade deadline.

ok, i invite you to a challenge if you feel torres is so worthless. for entertainment's sake, you track numbers on the forward we end up signing before october and i'll keep an eye on torres' contributions. i don't gamble real money so this friendly competition would have to be for bragging rights or something practical. or... you could decline my challenge, and we'll agree to disagree.

yes, it is brad. we did not sign andrew. on a completely different note, greg johnson is listed on our roster. is that room for concern, or is that just a formality since he might not ever have been properly released due to injury? just curious.

guys, it IS still a rumor until a deal is signed, which i doubt will happen. i'd be more frightened if kenny didn't have a backup plan. this might not be what people want but it is an alternative. at least he's not just resting on his laurels.

i think the fact that gelinas could be acquired cheaply increases his appeal. he could bring veteran leadership and some offense to a line that needs it. if we're spending very little to get him, how do we lose? i'm not sold on asham either. o'neill makes more sense between the two. saprykin would be another great option. definitely want nothing to do with forsberg. hasek will sign and kenny is out of his mind if the demand is more than 2.5M, IMO.

men's tennis is so dry and predictable anymore... federer is a machine on just about any surface. he's clearly the MJ of tennis. people can't stop him, they can only hope to contain him. the women's game at least still has some allure to it, and of course some nice legs. here's hoping roddick can shock the world this year and return to championship form. a long shot, i know... but at least then there's a temporary change of guard... and i stress temporary.

regardless of billups, i'd rather have mo pete instead of hill. hopefully phoenix lures hill and we can sign mo and amir. i do NOT think joe is done guys. he's patient, most of us apparently are not.
