obviously none of us can predict the future but this team is capable of losing game 5 and winning two in a row to win in 7. these games are played one at a time and it's always interesting to me how many people count the wings out even when they haven't reached a do/die game just yet. i'm not predicting them to lose game 5 but even if they ended up falling short, this year is not over until the handshakes at center ice. some of you just need to have faith, IMO. they have just as good of a chance as the ducks to pull out a victory on their home ice. should they outplay the ducks in game 5, the game in anaheim (6) will obviously be the most intense of this series to date. i'm looking forward to some good hockey... hopefully CLEAN hockey, where two teams battle to muscle failure to prevail against one another. game on!

we missed an opportunity with pronger out but the ducks rose to the occasion and are to be commended for their tough play... should be an interesting game 5.

most don't but you certainly could be in the minority. You make it sound like because we ahvent soldout 300 games in a row that we arent true diehard fans. My life is Duck puck. that last statement is beyond me but please provide evidence of these claims. If i coudl afford to go to every game i would. I havent missed a Ducks game either listening to it on the radio, watching the game on tv or at the game since oct. of 2000. congrats, sounds like you do well by your team. My whole room has Ducks stuff on the walls and on every day game i wear orange and my ducks pin at work even when i got written up for not taling if off. I eat, sleep, dream, and breathe Duck puck and noone will ever change that again, sounds as though you do your part to support anaheim but who exactly is trying to change you?

game on boys... steal this one at honda and close it out at the joe this weekend. it's go time! -
seeing that chelios hit again makes me think about how lost i was when the wings decided to bring him to detroit. not saying this would ever happen but what if pronger was ever to be invited to play for detroit... how long would it take for some of you to lose the chip on your shoulder, honestly? my point is that it was an unfortunate cheap hit and completely uncalled for, however justice has been served and the games will continue. i don't approve of many things i've seen pronger do in his career but i guarantee you that i would see a LOT of you lose the attitude if he was to ever wear the winged wheel. pronger's an enforcer and he made a bad decision... let it rest. i agree the hit was with intent to injure and has no place in the game. at the same time, a lot of things happen in the heat of the moment and these people are human. i don't excuse their actions in the least but let's not forget that they are vulnerable like the rest of us and don't always make the right choices. i'm sure bertuzzi knows how pronger is feeling right about now, as is every other player that made an ill advised hit that cost somebody a potential career/life altering injury. life happens... the wings will do what they ought to with this advantage, which is keep the pressure on and SOG up.
-
i'm confident pronger will be tagged with a one game suspension (and rightfully so). the league doesn't need any more violent actions tarnishing the spirit of the game. a statement is going to be made. fines won't do a damn thing to change the behavior of a player, nor will a public apology. players make so much they don't miss even hundreds/thousands of dollars. it would be a disgrace to think any player would modify their actions based on what is a "drop in the bucket" in the grand scheme of things.

bringing the same intensity in game 4 sure helps our chances of walking out of anaheim up 3-1. i would be personally ill if pronger didn't receive some form of punishment. i know there's already a different thread for this so i'll leave it at that. here's to the guys bringing more of the same on thursday.
-
how many times have the ducks done this? your logic is shallow, just watch the games and post something of value. is that too much to ask?
-
noice!
-
bertuzzi's hurt, as are a lot of players for BOTH teams... they aren't using excuses, so please don't for them. case closed.
-
let him go, howard needs more starts to be ready for the wings lineup this next season or two. i wasn't all that impressed by liv's north american transition anyway. i know he had a lot of upside but these were often overshadowed by his tendency to let in soft goals.

no, it was their third jersey

not the most graceful game but at the end of the day it's a W and that's all that matters. go wings!!!!

all three teams have just as much of a chance to bring home the title as their predecessors. detroit's professional sports teams (ok so the lions have a ways to go) have been a real treat to watch for the last decade. (ok so the tigers have just come on most recently but you get the point). here's to the motor city! you cannot be serious.

he's definitely silenced a lot of his critics, and thank goodness for that.

that thing brings back a lot of memories.

Hasek and Chelios will be asked to re-sign with Wings
spydrwebb replied to HockeyCrazy3033's topic in General
bring it on! they might each have multiple years left. -
who you callin' a hoser? take off eh! seriously, it's been great having you sharks fans (most of you anyway) around here. i do hope you'll stay not only for the rest of the playoffs but that you may actually become a regular contributor and potential supporter (some of you already have) of LGW. thanks for setting a great example and know that your presence made a difference.
-
welcome ducks faithful. now, please help me understand if there's anything besides sarcasm behind the "duck in 3" chant. is this something only anaheim fans understand? do tell. hope you enjoy your time here.

congratulations to the san jose sharks and their fans for a hard fought series. there were many times where a different bounce here or there makes this a different series completely... glad to see the wings prevail against a team that few gave them a chance to defeat. similar challenge ahead with anaheim. babs will have his hands full and i completely expect this to be more of a coaching battle, since wilson didn't end up being much to fear in the end. go wings!!!!
