you do sound like a broken record but the key here is lang has a lucrative contract that NObody is likely to pick up, especially when they are trying to dump players they cannot afford in the first place. wishful thinking, but extremely unlikely... and definitely not realistic.

i haven't seen the value but at 2M per, kenny will make that deal... SO much talk about this kid.

thanks for this, very good insight. i hope he makes the jump to the wings' roster next season because there have been far too many great things written about this guy for us to lose the chance to see what he can really do in the NHL.

we do need to make up for some lost goal production but i'm curious how somebody like carter fits into this team. i'm not a fan based on what i've seen thus far in his career. at the same time, i know many players have found an increased level of success when joining the wings' artillery. i voted undecided simply because i believe we'll see carter in the wings uniform real soon... there's a LOT of talk about this in the detroit news and although kenny's used talks before as smoke screen, i feel he sincerely likes this kid and is going to try and get him at a better price.

definitely, i wouldn't mind seeing the twins in GR this season.

naslund and forsberg on the same line would be sick, and an immediate threat to their opposition.

the kid can say he would LOVE to play for the habs all day long but if they don't pay up... no dice. i'm really losing respect for some of these kids that have such high demands. granted, i understand the bar was set by arbitration but you don't see any efforts on dumont's part to sign with a contender for less... or so it appears, of course i don't know for sure.

there's been mention of hank's wrist concern before but never to the tune of surgery... until now. hopefully it doesn't require anything major, unless of course it means he'll return with that much more agility. in any event, i'm sure the trainers are all over this.

reports from st louis radio KFNS confirm that mclaughlin is close to adding legace to their roster... i have no idea how close but apparently they were pursuing biron and legace and feel biron's demand will be too high. no telling if/when this deal will transpire. i'm happy that manny will probably find a home... it's a shame what happened to him, regardless of last year's playoffs.

with all the threads about kenny chasing biron, i'm just curious to see what the split is in LGW... for/against? resounding NO for me. who else would you consider?

yeah, among other worthless predictions... he also has hasek going to detroit. kenny has said on record several times that he has no interest in making that happen. eklund's a tool.

he makes a LOT more money than what we need to be adding to our payroll... and there are kids waiting in the balance to play for so much less... not a good deal to me.
