for me, it has nothing to do with questioning your "fandom" and everything to do with conduct unbecoming of what most of us here would expect from you. some of these rants of yours are indicative of what i might hear from my 4 year old son. why can't you understand that you're better than that? i KNOW this and so, too, do countless others here at LGW. lose the belligerence and return to a more appropriate form of constructive criticism, if/when it is warranted. nobody is saying that some of your points are off base, you just decided to bypass rationale and discipline altogether by taking the road to extremism. it doesn't take much to surf onto other teams' sites and find out of line fanatics (you know the ones) but if i had to vote, you certainly wouldn't be in that company. one big mistake doesn't place you in that category but the way you're defending it isn't helping matters. please, let it go. this is the last you'll hear from me on this issue because i know i won't lose sleep over a debate on the internet, nor will you, however i believe this is an issue that you have an opportunity to respond to... and i, for one, hope you choose the road to humility.

osgod - having paid attention now to your contributions here for years, i am absolutely appalled and ashamed of your conduct. you simply have made a very questionable judgment by choosing to change your avatar to "f*ck hossa," let alone to do it with pride. clearly you're not aware of how this is wrong on too many levels so i'll try and give you the benefit of the doubt. however, i have come to expect more from you and have normally enjoyed your veteran perspective and overall dedication to DRW hockey. we all make mistakes. i believe this is the time to admit the error of your ways and humble yourself by conceding this immature platform you've chosen against a player who made countless sacrifices to even have the opportunity to play here. regardless of the reasons for his lack of offensive production in the final series, you are out of line for the behavior you've exhibited here. mine is only one opinion but several others have already begun to point out these unfortunate actions by you. i hope you'll reconsider your position and take your attitude down several levels. believe me, i know you're better than what you're showing... and you do, too.

i agree some posturing is taking place. my only real point was the honey/vinegar piece. the debate is completely substantiated by previous and current actions on part of the network(s), just not sure how much they would pay attention to a "f*ck ____" directed specifically at them. i, too, hope their decision is overturned; moreso because it is a great charitable opportunity several times each year. best wishes with this endeavor to make that happen.

i'm all for petitioning for a reconsideration on part of NBC/CBC but a "f*ck NBC" campaign is hardly the appropriate or necessary approach. no offense intended. hope one or both of these networks extend grace and act swiftly and accordingly.
