I went there for a Devils-Rangers game a year ago and it was intense, even more so because it was an 8-5 game with several fights. Definitely one of the most entertaining games I've ever seen. Devils took a 5-1 lead only to lose it in the 2nd but bounced back to win it. I was pretty much the only person in the building wearing a Wings jersey but apart from a few "F*ck Detroit" etc. jeers it wasn't too bad at all (and those few were all in good fun too). One guy walked past me and said "hell of a player" (I have a Zetterberg jersey). Then there was this couple, originally from Detroit, coming up to me and trading a few words. Good times. Have fun at the game, the arena is great too.

Kronwall is more valuable to the Wings at this point and his cap hit is half of Rafalski's. Stuart is way better than Raffi defensively and would probably put up similar points if he got some serious PP time (both Raffi and Stewie have 1G and 3A at even strength this season).

True. If the Red Wings win the Cup this year I think it's even probable he retires. If they don't get the Cup me thinks he'll sign a one-year extension. I have a hard time believing he'll still be around in 2011-12.

Yes but having injuries early in the season doesn't exclude the possibility of late-season injuries. Not to be a pessimist but some people talk as if there's a certain quota of injuries per season: lots of injuries in the regular season -> few injuries in the playoffs. There are no guarantees.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bash Niedermayer nor the Ducks team for that matter. It just seems that their fans in general are not very classy, but then again that's just me. What Niedermayer did was cool, too bad it turned out the way it did.
