I just noticed that among the Western teams, only Columbus, Edmonton, Anaheim and Chicago have done worse on the road... Oh well, time to rebound and keep the Sharks out of a playoff spot.

This kind of stuff has no place in the game whatsoever. I've always found it nice to talk to opposing fans and of course jab a little bit at them in good fun. It's only hockey for peep's sake.

Yes, his two-way talent, work ethic and skating ability are more than enough to warrant the contract but it's also good to see him being rewarded on the scoresheet on a more regular basis. Back when he signed the contract, I remember estimating him to become a 20-25 goal and 40-50 assist scorer and his offensive potential is proving to be pretty close to that.

This is when his contract is really starting to look like a bargain.

That attitude will certainly help but like someone already mentioned, it's pretty much top-six or GR the way I see it. There's probably little use for him on the bottom two lines.

Definitely nice to see him picking it up a little bit lately.

I'm sure they have, even though Teemu is the kind of person who doesn't want to get ahead of himself and just keeps focusing on the now instead of the future. I'm sure his injury-plagued last season was a good reminder to him. He should win the rookie of the year award in FEL by a landslide and that alone would be quite an achievement for him, not to mention he is likely a top-10 scorer in the league this season.

I don't even want to think about a post-Lidstrom off-season...

I'm not sure I'd use the phrase "poor guy" in this case.

Obviously some more tweaks are needed but all in all it's looking very good already, no problems here.

Gotta feel for the guy, wanting to return so bad but his body just can't handle it anymore. Props to him for trying though and cheers to one of the most dominant players to ever play in the league.

A pretty standard showing for me: not flashy but a solid grinder effort nonetheless. Good job Swayze, looks like this race is GoWings1905's to lose.
