I also think Bert might be getting sick of switching teams every six months or so and wants to prove himself here in order to find a more permanent place to stay.

I'm interested in seeing what Eaves can do, he's a big unknown to me. His brother used to tear it up in Finland but chose to move to Nashville for the upcoming season so there's going to be a nice little brotherly rivalry within the division.

This is what I think too, it's the system we have here in Finland. IMO equal amount of points should be awarded in each game. If you get the job done in regulation, you get rewarded for that with the extra point.
