Indeed. Maltby will be in before Downey. On a related note: Maltby replacing him..? Personally I'm not too keen on that idea, Helm has been solid.

That might be a reasonable compromise. Maybe you can do some mock picking and see how it works once you have extra time on your hands.

I think that would be a good idea. with the current system you can basically wrap up the victory in the 1st round if you pick perfectly. Maybe simple multipliers of 2,3,4 for latter rounds..?

That's what I'm thinking too. You're not going to win medals without a good goalie and the one Russia has remaining plays somewhere in Russia's 2nd league. Not to mention goaltending has never actually been one of Russia's strengths to begin with.

Man am I glad that after the Wings game I stayed up until 7am to watch this humiliation! And it goes without saying that today has been great! Can you spell O-V-E-R-R-A-T-E-D? The results couldn't have been better last night with also the Flames forcing a game 7! Hopefully all this means the stars (no pun intended) are aligned in the Wings' favor this year.
