I'm not that keen on Cheli's re-signing since we have a good number of up-and-coming defensemen close to being NHL-ready. That said, Cheli's experience is invaluable and he still plays alright in a limited role.

I'm happy with Ericsson's development so far but I think Meech should be in front of him in the pecking order.

A bold move at this point of the season.

Not to mention the question mark hanging over him after the concussion and he's no spring chicken either.

That's impressive. I hope he remains in the lineup after everyone comes back (doubt it though ).

I thought so too. I only saw the highlights but judging by them he had a stellar game. He seems to have quite a bit of offensive upside to go with his defensive play.

Indeed. Sure we still have some dead weight but we got rid of Lang and Bert's lazy asses (still don't understand what happened to Calder, he started out so well ) and our youngsters are a year older (of course the grandpa's are older as well but you know what I mean ). Now we added Stuart to add depth to defense, the lack of which killed us last year after the injuries to Kronner and Schneids. I would have loved to add a scoring winger as much as the next guy but I believe in this team and you gotta make the best of what you have.

This will be no match for the "anti-Kenny" thread if he doesn't make a deal.
