Maltby is likely to be sent down too, his signing doesn't really affect Ritola.

That's what occurred to me as well. -

Last year's sensation in the Finnish Elite League, we'll see if he can hack it in the NHL. -
And another goal today against JYP. Once again a trademark slapper from the left side. E: Finnish Hammer beat me to it.

I'm curious to find out how Ilari Filppula has done so far? Has he looked out of place or has he kept up just fine? -
One can always hope.
-
I gotta say, Eaves has quickly become one of my favorite players. More power to him.
-
I wonder if he's aiming to play for every single NHL team before retiring.
-
I'm not sure what would be best for him at this stage but the Finnish Elite League is a pretty good league and he will be playing against men instead of juniors, much like Flip did before moving to NA and Grand Rapids. Of course it would be good to get him accustomed to the smaller rink and everything but he will have plenty of time for that, he's only 18.
-
He will play for Jokerit in the Finnish Elite League.
-
Apparently he has put on about 20 pounds of muscle this summer and thinks he's in better shape than ever. Very promising so long as he's able to avoid further injuries.
-
I can see your point of view as well. This makes for some interesting discussion for sure.
-
That would be the absolute ceiling for me. 7-8 is fine but 10 is too much.
-
I'm just getting the feeling he won't be coming to Detroit. And unless he's really, really willing to play for the Wings I don't like the idea of him on the team. He would probably be more of a liability than an asset.
-
Well, it is possible that these guys will keep playing until their mid-40s, unlikely as it may be. Kovie is 27 so he would be about 45 at the end of a 17-year contract. It just seems so retarded to me that players can be signed through the rest of their careers in their early to mid-20s. It's just wrong.
-
Of course one can always dream. Teemu is just so comfortably set in Anaheim that it's basically his only option if he is to continue playing, especially at this stage of his career.
-
Yeah there's no way he's even considering other teams. In his case it's been Anaheim or retirement for a few years now.
-
I sure hope not. IMO the maximum term for a contract should be five years, these 10-year and 15-year contracts are just ridiculous.
-
Mrazek sounds like Hasek, that must be a good sign.
-
I agree that it's a best of 7 system for a reason. Chances are slim but this is a chance to do some stuff of legends. It ain't over until it's over, good luck Wings.

I respect-ED the referees... oh wait, no I didn't.

How the hell were we supposed to win game 7 last year anyway, scoring only one goal and a fluke one at that. It's funny how most losses are pinned on one guy or one play when there's a bigger problem in the background. Go Stuart.

He is money in the playoffs.
