I'm just hoping USA will be equally "impressive" against the Finns. I was kinda pulling for them tonight though, too bad this game is quickly slipping out of reach.

Have you ever used SopCast? Link for tonight's games EDIT: 3-0 Canada, seems like a Finland-USA matchup in the QFs. 2. EDIT: 4-0! USA are really getting their asses handed to them.

Babs has really turned this "small and soft" team into a really determined and fearless bunch, haven't seen that from the Red Wings in a long time. They fight the adversity and always seem to pull through, hopefully that continues!

Except that it's one thing to be the starter in Minny (let alone Kärpät) and quite another in Detroit. He's a good goalie no question, but I'd rather have Ozzie as our starter since he knows what it takes.

I was happy with the refereeing in the last game. I just don't understand why the Flames were allowed to cross-check Bert all they wanted and thus knock him down. I love clean, physical hockey but constantly checking someone with your stick has nothing to do with it. But all in all, refs kept the game in control and certainly didn't decide the outcome of the game. Guys were allowed to play hard and there weren't stoppages all the time. Not to mention we owned the Flames 5-on-5.

Have faith brothers (and sisters )! The Sharks are tough but that's the way it should be, there's no easy way to win the Cup. If the Wings just want it badly enough I don't see why they wouldn't advance. -
