Another s***ty play by Flames, Stuart this time. But yeah, it has to be frustrating not being able to keep up with Z time and time again.
-
Final score will be 10-1. In fact, Wings should have 10 already when you look at all the scoring chances they've had. Joey! Joey!
-
Giordano is such a sissy, first getting rocked by Z and then going after him. I bet Lillypads would have kicked his ass. (And still might in the 3rd) It's one of those games that really makes me miss an enforcer.

I want revenge for that hit on Datsyuk. Wishful thinking though. Sonofabitch.
-
Zetterberg for Hart! I haven't enjoyed a Wings' game so much in a long time. Oops, have to take a little bit back already, only 4-1 now.
-
Change names, say, to Lilja for example..?
-
Gotta keep up the slaughter in the 2nd and not give Flames any life.

Try to hit the 'preferences' button and adjust the speed.

Flames are taking quite a beating at this rate, 4-0 was pretty damn close a couple of times.
-
And another! When was the last time we had such a good start to a game? Kipper doesn't get chased in the 1st too often. Keep 'em coming!
-
Dats! What a set up by Zata.

I agree, Williams is relied on as a point producer (more or less) and he's not doing that. Last season was pretty promising since he had 21 goals & 58 points but he's not gonna get even close to that this season. It's a shame because he also had a great 04-05 season here in Finland when he was among league leaders in scoring and really seemed to be rounding out his game. Still pretty well done for an undrafted player but he's not fulfilling the role that was planned for him in Detroit.

I don't think Kopecky has lost his chance, with his size he can provide something different than Rex or Flip and thus it isn't so simple to determine who plays and who doesn't. None of these guys fit the same mold. At least Rex should watch out for his roster spot.

Even a blind dog finds a bone every once in a while. Just kidding. It's a nightmare to bet on NHL games these days, there's just no telling who's gonna beat whom. Differences are very small.

That damn 200th goal has eluded him for some time now, let's hope he gets it done tonight!

Dom has definitely been golden so far. He's never lost one bit of his passion for the game and he always gives his team a chance to win. And most importantly, he performs when it really matters and the going gets tough. I feel much more comfortable going into the post-season with Dom than with anyone else and I feel that he'll show his best form in the playoffs.

I like Maltby because he's served this organisation so well for a long time. But I think that next season would be a good time to give a chance to a younger player who has more passion and will to prove himself and who could give us some production in the future (suggestions who that might be..? ). Maltby's point production has worryingly become almost non-existent. Sure he's still valuable on the penalty kill but we already have guys like Dats and Flip taking shifts on the kill so our penalty kill isn't gonna suck anyway.

It seems that Red Wings are more involved in trade rumours this season, so one could think that this time Holland has something bigger up his sleeve. We'll just have to wait and see, Kenny is (luckily) not the type of GM to make a hasty/risky trade. But I'd for sure be disappointed if nothing happened because it's hard to believe that we'd be a strong Cup contender with this lineup. Of course we'll have a hopefully healthy (*knocks on wood) Dom this time around and a more solid defensive team that should do pretty well in the playoffs. One or two gritty wingers would be great, other than that we're pretty well stacked. But no matter what happens, go Wings!

Yeah, our boys should have fresher legs and take it to the Flames before they find their feet. Slow starts have been too much of a problem this season for the Wings, it's something that needs a bit of tweaking before the playoffs.
-
Haseks injury shouldn't be anything serious, more of a day-to-day problem. Kopecky should be back around mid-March, at least I haven't heard of any changes to that timescale. Don't really know about Sammy though, seems like he's getting minor setbacks with injuries all the time.
-
And what's more impressive, Whitney scored all three goals at even-strength.
-
Seems like we'll have a playoff series against them before the playoffs even begin.
-
Even if he didn't reach 100 this season, I'd bet one season soon he will.

Well, if the price really is only a 1st rounder and a decent prospect, what better options are there available without giving up Filppula or Kronwall or one of our blue-chip prospects..? It's a gamble alright but not a very high-risk one at that price. Plus there's a chance that he could address one big issue that we constantly whine about.
